Fits T-Mobile Energy smartphones; replaces OEM battery HBG7300.
3.7V nominal voltage, 1300mAh capacity delivers 4.81Wh total energy for talk and standby operations.
Connector slides vertically into slot with single plastic locking tab on left side.
We cycled this cell on a bench power supply through three full discharge curves; BMS accepted charge within spec and held voltage steady under 500mA load.
On first charge after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle—this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

T-Mobile Energy — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HBG7300)

This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the T-Mobile Energy smartphone. It uses OEM part number HBG7300 and slots directly into the Energy's battery bay. Capacity is 1300mAh (4.81Wh), matching the original cell specification.

  • T-Mobile Energy compatibility: The Energy uses a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal with a connector and BMS handshake specific to this chassis. Swapping to a cell that deviates from this voltage rail causes the fuel gauge IC to report inaccurate percentages from the first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Energy platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC completed a full constant-current to constant-voltage taper normally.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC applies high-current fast charging to an uncalibrated cell.

Why the T-Mobile Energy reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Energy's fuel gauge IC stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The IC keeps reading against the old curve, so the percentage display drifts. One full discharge and charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to reset and rebuild an accurate model against the new cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under load — typically during modem transmit bursts or screen-on wake events — even though the reported percentage looks healthy. A fresh Li-ion cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC is especially prone to this because the IC cannot accurately predict the voltage cliff. Run one full calibration cycle first: discharge until the phone shuts off on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle, unexpected shutoffs above 15% should stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My T-Mobile Energy won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the battery dead?

It is likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out the cell after voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V during storage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release the lockout and allow normal boot.

The percentage on my T-Mobile Energy jumps around erratically — showing 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% within minutes of each other.

The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell and is misreading the new one's voltage slope. This is not a fault with the replacement cell itself. Do one uninterrupted discharge from 100% down to auto-shutdown, then charge straight back to 100% without unplugging. After that single cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates, and the percentage readout stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working on my T-Mobile Energy after I put in the new battery — the phone only slow-charges now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes defaults to a slow constant-current rate because it has no history data for the new cell's impedance. This is a protective default, not a fault. Let the phone complete one full slow charge to 100%, then unplug and reboot. On the next charge session the IC re-evaluates cell impedance and should resume the faster charge rate automatically.
