Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cricket ICON 2 / U325AC — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PT34H406082J)
This is a 3.85V, 3300mAh Li-Polymer cell built to fit the Cricket ICON 2 and U325AC smartphones. It replaces OEM part PT34H406082J and PT34H406082W. If the original battery swells, drops capacity sharply, or refuses to charge, this is the direct swap.
- ICON 2 and U325AC compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and charge IC protocol. The 80.70 × 59.80 × 3.80mm cell fits either chassis without modification. The BMS handshake is identical across both variants.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the ICON 2 platform. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle, voltage held steady across screen-on and modem-active load, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before fast-charge current is applied to an uncalibrated cell — preventing erratic percentage readings from the first day.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the ICON 2 after a cell swap
The ICON 2's fuel gauge IC holds a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell with a different internal resistance profile hits a voltage cliff at a different state of charge — the phone sees voltage drop under modem or display load and shuts down before the reported percentage reaches zero. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. One complete discharge cycle at standard charge rate lets the coulomb counter reset its endpoint reference against the new cell. After that cycle, the reported percentage and actual cutoff voltage align correctly.
USB fast charge not activating after battery replacement
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the ICON 2's charge IC can refuse to enter fast-charge mode. The controller reads the new cell's impedance as outside the expected range and defaults to standard 5V charging as a protection measure. This is normal BMS behaviour on a fresh cell — it is not a fault with the charger or the replacement battery. Complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first, then reconnect to a fast charger; the charge IC will accept the higher current once it has one baseline cycle on record.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Cricket ICON 2 keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the ICON 2 is still running the discharge curve from the old battery, so the voltage cliff on the new cell hits at a different state of charge than the gauge expects. Run one full discharge — let the phone drop to auto-shutdown — then charge back to 100% at standard rate without fast charging. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference and the shutdowns stop.
The phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth on the first one or two charge cycles is normal. The charge IC is pushing current into a new cell with slightly higher impedance than the worn cell it replaced, which generates a small amount of additional heat until the cell's internal resistance stabilises. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charging stops before 100%, disconnect immediately and inspect the connector seating. For normal warmth only, it resolves on its own within two or three cycles.
The ICON 2 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — what do I do?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS will have locked the cell out to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a computer USB port — and leave it for at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell at a safe rate until it recovers above the BMS unlock threshold, after which the phone will boot normally.
