Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BLU View 3 / B140DL — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PT34H406082J)
This is a 3300mAh, 3.85V Li-Polymer cell built to fit the BLU View 3 and B140DL smartphones. It matches the original PT34H406082J form factor — same 80.70 × 59.80 × 3.80mm footprint, same connector pinout. Replace it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or fails to power on after a full charge cycle.
- View 3 and B140DL compatibility: Both models share the same chassis, battery bay dimensions, and charge IC — the PT34H406082J fits either variant without modification to the connector or flex cable routing.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a BLU View 3 unit. The BMS accepted the new cell on first connection, charge current ramped normally through CC/CV stages, and no protection trips were logged at either end of the voltage window.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. The fuel gauge IC in the View 3 is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one full cycle against the new cell lets it reset its coulomb counter reference before high-current charging begins.
Why the BLU View 3 shuts down suddenly at 20–30% after a cell swap
After installing a new cell, the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve data from the old, degraded cell. When the display and modem pull simultaneous load, the new cell's actual terminal voltage drops faster than the IC predicts — it triggers a hard shutdown even though the coulomb count shows charge remaining. This is not a fault in the replacement cell. One complete discharge cycle — draining the phone to automatic shutdown, then charging uninterrupted to 100% — resets the IC's reference model. After that cycle, percentage readings and shutdown behaviour normalise.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
The View 3's charge IC performs a voltage handshake with the battery BMS before enabling elevated charge current. On a fresh cell that has never been cycled in that specific device, the BMS may respond conservatively — the IC falls back to standard 5V charging and does not step up to the fast-charge protocol. This is a one-cycle condition. Let the phone complete a full standard-rate charge to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the BMS handshake succeeds on the second cycle and fast charging activates normally. Verify with the device's battery settings screen, which will show "Charging rapidly" once the protocol is accepted.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BLU View 3 feels warm near the back during the first charge with the new battery — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance before it has been cycled, which means the charge IC dissipates a little more heat during the constant-current phase than it will on subsequent cycles. Surface warmth in the first one or two charges is expected and drops off once the cell has been broken in. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — disconnect and inspect the battery seating and connector. After the first two full cycles, charging temperature on the View 3 should return to what it was with the original cell.
The percentage on my BLU View 3 is jumping around erratically — 60% one minute, 45% the next — after putting in the replacement cell.
The fuel gauge IC in the View 3 uses a coulomb counter that was calibrated against the old cell's discharge curve. When a new cell is installed, the counter's reference model no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, and percentage readings become unstable. Run one complete discharge — use the phone normally until it shuts itself off — then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without removing the charger early. That single full cycle gives the IC enough data to rebuild its reference curve, and erratic percentage jumping stops.
My BLU View 3 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent charging a dangerously depleted cell at normal current. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC applies a low trickle current to bring the cell voltage back above the BMS recovery threshold. Once the voltage climbs above 3.0V, the BMS releases, normal charging resumes, and the phone will power on. If the charge indicator light does not appear within 45 minutes, check that the battery connector is fully seated.
