Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

WALTON Primo R5 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (WMB3000H)
This is a 3.85V, 3000mAh (11.55Wh) lithium-polymer cell for the WALTON Primo R5 smartphone. It replaces OEM part number WMB3000H when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge. The physical dimensions are 74.00 × 62.24 × 4.10mm — verify clearance before installing.
- Primo R5 fitment: The Primo R5 uses a 3.85V nominal Li-Polymer cell with a specific connector orientation tied to its charge IC. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector, so the board recognises the pack and allows charge current to flow.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge and charge on the Primo R5 board. The BMS accepted the pack on first connection, charge current ramped normally, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated pack.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
A new Li-Polymer cell has a steeper voltage drop at the bottom of its discharge curve than a worn cell does. The Primo R5's fuel gauge IC is still using the old cell's curve as its reference, so it reads 25% remaining when the actual cell voltage is already near the protection cutoff. Under modem or screen load, voltage collapses fast and the board shuts down before the OS can warn you. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without fast charging — the coulomb counter recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.
Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge roughly 2–3% per month. If this battery shipped or sat unused for several months, cell voltage may have dropped below 2.5V — the threshold where the BMS locks out to prevent damage. The phone will show no response to the power button and no charge indicator on the screen. Connect the phone to a wall adapter for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; this trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.8V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my WALTON Primo R5 keep shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery?
The fuel gauge IC on the Primo R5 board is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the new cell's voltage drops sharply under modem or display load, the board hits the protection cutoff before the percentage reading catches up. Run two full discharge-charge cycles at the standard charge rate — no fast charging. After that, the coulomb counter has enough data to track the new cell accurately and the shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my Primo R5 is jumping around erratically — it went from 60% to 40% in minutes without heavy use.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve — it has no stored history for this cell yet and is estimating. The jumps are a software measurement problem, not a fault with the cell itself. Let the phone run through two complete discharge-charge cycles at standard rate before drawing any conclusions. After two cycles the coulomb counter stabilises and percentage readings track linearly.
My Primo R5 isn't responding to fast charging after I installed the replacement battery — it's only slow charging.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Primo R5 sometimes withholds high-current fast charge until it confirms the new BMS is responding correctly to voltage and temperature signals. This is normal behaviour on the first cycle. Charge once at standard rate to full, then reboot the phone and reconnect the charger — fast charge protocol typically resumes from the second cycle onward. If it still won't fast charge after that, check that the charger output is confirmed at 9V or above with a USB meter.
