Fits CriticalResponse M1501 and REH-1501 pagers; replaces OEM part CS523450AL 1S1P.
3.7V, 1050mAh lithium-ion cell sustains standby alert reception and message retrieval on the M1501 platform.
Single-cell connector slides into vertical slot with contact spring; locking tab seats flush against battery door.
Bench testing showed clean BMS voltage handshake on first insertion; no fault codes or cutoff delays observed.
After installing this cell, power cycle the pager once — M1501 requires a fresh boot to re-register on the network and establish the correct low-battery threshold.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

CriticalResponse M1501 / REH-1501 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CS523450AL 1S1P)

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell for the CriticalResponse M1501 and REH-1501 pagers. It matches the OEM part number CS523450AL 1S1P and fits the same physical footprint at 53.40 × 38.00 × 7.50mm. These pagers are used in healthcare, emergency services, and industrial environments where alert delivery cannot be interrupted.

  • M1501 and REH-1501 compatibility: Both models use the same single-cell Li-ion holder, voltage rail, and contact arrangement. One cell covers both — no wiring or adapter needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge acceptance and BMS handshake verification. The protection circuit responded correctly to both low-voltage cutoff and over-charge thresholds at 3.7V nominal.
  • Post-swap power cycle: After fitting the new cell, power the pager fully off and back on. Some M1501 units require a fresh boot to re-register on the paging network and reset the low-battery indicator to the new voltage baseline.

Why the M1501 drains faster during high-traffic alert periods

The M1501 draws more current when it receives frequent pages or when the signal from the local transmitter is weak and the receiver has to work harder. A 1050mAh cell at 3.7V has a fixed energy budget of 3.89Wh. Heavy alert traffic and extended signal-search cycles both pull from that budget faster than light-use standby. If your environment has changed — new building, relocated transmitter, increased message volume — expect shorter intervals between charges.

Low battery warning appears immediately after fitting a new cell

Cells ship at storage voltage, typically around 3.6–3.65V, which sits below the M1501's low-battery threshold. The pager sees this and flags the warning before the cell has been used at all. Charge the pager normally for a full cycle — once the cell reaches its working voltage range above 3.7V, the indicator clears. No fault with the cell or the device.

Frequently Asked Questions

My M1501 stopped receiving pages after I swapped the battery — what's going on?

The pager needs a clean power cycle to re-register on the paging network after a battery change. Pull the cell, wait ten seconds, refit it, then power the unit fully off and on again. This resets the receiver and forces the pager to re-sync with the transmitter. If it still won't receive after one full power cycle, confirm the cell is seated flat against both contacts.

The terminal spring in the battery holder feels loose and the cell keeps losing contact — can I fix that?

The previous cell can compress the contact spring over time, leaving it too shallow to grip the new cell firmly. Use a non-conductive tool — a plastic spudger or a folded piece of card — to gently lift the spring back toward its original angle. Refit the cell and press it down until you feel resistance. A secure contact at both terminals should hold the reading stable.

My new cell reads low battery straight away but charges fine — is the cell faulty?

It isn't faulty. Cells ship at storage voltage, around 3.6V, which the M1501 interprets as low. Run one full charge cycle and the indicator will clear once the cell reaches operating voltage above 3.7V. We confirmed this behaviour on the bench — the cell accepts charge normally and the warning drops after the first charge completes.
