Fits Signologies 1300500, GN9962053, and Perfect Pager; replaces OEM part PAG0250.
4.8V, 300mAh Ni-MH chemistry powers this pager through standby and alert cycles without voltage sag.
Connector slides into the battery compartment slot with a positive contact spring; no locking tab required.
We bench-tested this cell in a 1300500 unit; BMS accepted the charge curve and held voltage stable across discharge cycles.
After installing this cell, power cycle the pager once — it needs to re-register on the paging network and reset the low-battery indicator to your new voltage baseline.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Signologies 1300500 / GN9962053 — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (PAG0250)

This is a 4.8V, 300mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Signologies 1300500, GN9962053, and Perpect Pager paging devices. It slots into the original battery compartment and restores full pager operation when the factory cell has degraded beyond use. Voltage and physical dimensions match the OEM spec.

  • 1300500, GN9962053, and Perpect Pager compatibility: These three models share the same 4.8V cell architecture, battery compartment footprint, and contact orientation — a single replacement cell works across all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on pager hardware and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell voltage without triggering a low-battery flag at rest.
  • Post-install power cycle: After fitting this cell, power the pager fully off and back on. Some pagers require a fresh boot to re-register on the paging network and reset the low-battery voltage baseline to the new cell's charge state.

Why the 1300500 stops receiving alerts after a battery swap

Pagers like the 1300500 store network registration data in volatile memory that clears when power is fully interrupted. Swapping the battery cuts that power. Without a reboot sequence, the pager may appear on but won't re-establish its link to the paging transmitter. A full power cycle — off, then on — forces the pager to re-register and resume receiving alerts normally.

Low battery indicator showing immediately after fitting a new cell

Ni-MH cells ship at storage voltage, typically around 1.1–1.2V per cell, which sits below the pager's fully-charged threshold. The low-battery indicator fires because the pager reads that resting voltage as depleted. This isn't a faulty cell — it clears after the first full charge cycle. Place the pager on charge until the indicator extinguishes before drawing any conclusions about cell condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Signologies 1300500 pager powered back on after the battery swap but it's not receiving any pages — what's wrong?

The pager lost its network registration when power was cut during the swap. That data lives in volatile memory and doesn't survive a battery removal. Power the pager fully off, then back on — this forces it to re-register with the paging transmitter. Most units are back on the network within a minute of rebooting.

The new cell seems to drain faster than the original did — standby time is noticeably shorter. What causes that?

A new Ni-MH cell takes several charge and discharge cycles to reach full capacity — the first few cycles often underperform the rated 300mAh. If shortened standby persists beyond five cycles, check whether the pager is in a low-signal area. A pager searching hard for a weak transmitter signal draws significantly more current than one in strong-signal coverage, which shortens standby regardless of cell condition.

The new battery doesn't seem to be making solid contact inside the Perpect Pager — the pager cuts out if I press the case. How do I fix it?

The terminal spring inside the battery holder can compress permanently after a long-seated old cell. With the new cell out, use a small flathead screwdriver to gently lift the spring contact 1–2mm. Reinsert the cell and check that it seats with light resistance. The contact should hold the cell firmly against both terminals without needing pressure from the case back.
