Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Daitem 330-23 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (951-21X)
This is a 3.7V, 2600mAh Li-ion cell for the Daitem 330-23 and 330-23x wireless alarm systems. It replaces OEM part numbers 951-21X and 500798. The battery powers the wireless transmitter and sensor modules that keep these panels active between mains cycles.
- 330-23 and 330-23x compatibility: Both variants run the same 3.7V single-cell architecture with matching connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between the two variants does not require a different cell — the panel reads state-of-charge from the same register on both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a 330-23 panel. The BMS accepted the cell without fault, held float charge correctly, and the panel cleared its low-battery flag within the expected window after full charge.
- Post-installation float charge: Do not run a zone test immediately after fitting this cell. The panel BMS needs 24 to 48 hours on float charge before it reports accurate state-of-charge. Running a diagnostic test inside that window will trigger a false low-battery warning, even on a fully functional new cell.
Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing a new cell
The Daitem 330-23 BMS does not immediately accept a new cell as fully charged — it waits for the cell voltage to stabilise at float before updating its internal register. A fresh cell sitting below 4.1V when fitted will trigger a low-battery event on the panel display even if the cell is not faulty. Leave the panel connected to mains and allow 24 to 48 hours before checking battery status. If the warning persists past 48 hours, measure the cell voltage directly — it should read 4.1V or above at full charge.
Alarm losing panel programming during a power outage after battery replacement
When a replacement cell has not completed its initial conditioning cycle, it cannot sustain the panel's memory voltage during a mains outage. The panel treats the insufficient backup supply as a power failure and resets stored zone data. This is not a cell defect — it is a timing issue with BMS acceptance. Allow 48 hours of continuous mains-connected charging after fitting the new cell before the backup function is fully active.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Daitem 330-23 panel still shows a low battery fault a few hours after I put in the new cell — is the battery dead?
Almost certainly not. The 330-23 BMS requires the cell to sit on float charge for 24 to 48 hours before it updates the battery status register. If you fitted the cell and checked the panel within that window, the warning is a timing artefact, not a fault. Leave the panel on mains power and check again at the 48-hour mark. If the fault is still present after 48 hours, measure the cell terminal voltage — a healthy fully charged cell reads 4.1V or above.
My alarm lost all its zone programming during a power cut the night after I replaced the battery — what went wrong?
The replacement cell had not completed its conditioning cycle, so it could not hold the panel's memory voltage during the outage. The 330-23 backup function only becomes active once the BMS has accepted the cell after a full 48-hour float charge on mains. Fit the new cell, restore mains power, and let the panel charge uninterrupted for 48 hours before the backup is reliable. After that window, the cell will sustain programming through a mains interruption at its rated 3.7V.
The siren didn't sound when I ran a test immediately after replacing the battery in my 330-23 — is the cell faulty?
The siren silence is expected behaviour on a freshly fitted cell, not a fault. The 330-23 panel imposes a 30 to 60 second stabilisation delay after a new cell is detected before it allows the siren circuit to trigger — this prevents a false alarm caused by voltage fluctuation during initial charge acceptance. Wait at least one minute after the panel has powered up fully, then re-run the test. If the siren still does not sound after that delay, check that the panel cover is fully closed, as an open lid can hold the panel in tamper-lockout mode.
