Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Videofied W Panel Wireless Alarm System — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (WBAT100)
This is a 3.7V, 3350mAh lithium-ion cell that replaces the WBAT100 in Videofied W panel wireless alarm systems. It provides backup power to the panel during mains outages, keeping motion detection and alert transmission active. Capacity matches the original at 3350mAh (12.4Wh).
- W panel platform fit: Videofied W series panels use a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion configuration with a BMS that handshakes with the panel's charge controller on connection. The WBAT100 footprint — 66 x 21 x 18.5mm — is specific to this platform. No modifications needed; the connector and cell dimensions match OEM spec.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the W panel's charge cycle and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without fault codes. The panel's charge controller brought the cell from resting voltage to full float without interruption.
- Post-installation float charge: Do not run a zone or diagnostic test immediately after fitting this cell. Allow 24–48 hours on float charge first. A cell installed at partial charge will trigger a low-battery fault during any test cycle run before the panel has finished conditioning the new cell.
Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing a new cell
This is the most common call we get after a WBAT100 swap. The W panel's charge controller reports battery state based on resting voltage after a conditioning period — not immediately after connection. A new cell installed at storage voltage (typically 3.6–3.65V) sits below the panel's "full" threshold until the controller finishes its float charge cycle. The panel is not faulty and the cell is not defective. Leave the panel on mains power for 48 hours and the low-battery fault will clear automatically.
Panel losing stored programming during a power outage after battery swap
If the W panel drops its configuration during a mains failure shortly after a battery replacement, the new cell had not yet been accepted by the panel's backup circuit. The backup circuit requires the cell to reach a minimum acceptance voltage — typically 3.7V under light load — before it switches to battery power on mains loss. A cell fitted and then immediately subjected to a mains-off event may not hold enough charge to sustain the panel's memory. Keep the panel on mains for at least 48 hours after fitting the new cell before testing outage behaviour.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Videofied W panel is showing a tamper fault straight after I replaced the battery — what did I go wrong?
The most likely cause is the panel cover or battery compartment lid not seating fully after the swap. Videofied W panels have a tamper switch that activates the moment the housing is not completely closed. Open the panel, check that no wiring or the cell itself is obstructing the lid, press the cover firmly until it clicks, and the tamper fault should clear within a few seconds of the panel re-polling.
The siren didn't trigger during a walk test I ran right after fitting the new WBAT100 — is the battery the problem?
The siren silence is almost certainly a charge stabilisation delay, not a faulty cell. W panels impose a 30–60 second inhibit on siren output when a new battery is first connected, allowing the charge controller to stabilise before permitting full alarm output. Wait at least 60 seconds after connecting the cell, then run the walk test again. If the siren still does not sound, check that the panel has not entered a low-battery hold — confirm cell voltage is at or above 3.7V before re-testing.
The W panel ran fine on the new battery for two weeks, then started flagging low battery again — is the cell failing already?
Two weeks in, this points to shallow-cycle degradation rather than a defective cell. If the panel is experiencing brief, frequent mains interruptions — even sub-second brownouts — the battery is cycling at very shallow depth repeatedly, which accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells not given time to fully recharge between events. Check the mains supply quality at the panel location and fit a surge-protected socket if brownouts are occurring. If the mains supply is stable, use a multimeter to confirm resting cell voltage — a healthy WBAT100 should read 3.7V or above with the panel on mains.
