Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Videofied W Panel Wireless Alarm System — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (WBAT100)
This is the WBAT100 3.7V Li-ion cell for Videofied W panel wireless alarm systems. It fits the W panel range used in perimeter protection and intrusion detection setups. Capacity is 2600mAh (9.62Wh) — matching the original specification.
- W panel platform fit: Videofied W panels share a common 3.7V single-cell architecture with the WBAT100 connector and BMS handshake. Swapping this cell keeps the panel in communication with the control system without triggering a fault on the bus.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full charge and discharge sequence on the W panel platform. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, reported charge status correctly, and held voltage within spec across the full test window.
- Post-installation float charge window: Do not run a zone test immediately after fitting this cell. Allow 24–48 hours on float charge first. The panel samples battery voltage during diagnostics — a partially charged new cell will trigger a false low-battery report on the panel display.
Alarm panel losing saved programming during a power outage after battery swap
A new Li-ion cell needs time on the charger before the panel treats it as a conditioned backup source. If mains power drops within the first 48 hours after fitting, the panel may draw more current than the unconditioned cell can sustain at voltage. When cell voltage sags below the panel's hold threshold, the MCU loses its RAM-backed configuration. Install the new cell, restore mains power, and leave the panel undisturbed for 48 hours before testing backup operation. After that window, the cell should hold the panel above 3.0V through a typical outage cycle.
Panel shows tamper fault immediately after battery access
Videofied W panels use a lid or cover tamper switch that the panel polls on startup and after any wake event. If the enclosure cover is not fully seated after a cell swap, the tamper circuit stays open and the panel logs a tamper fault to the control system. Check that all enclosure clips or screws are fully engaged — a partially closed lid is the most common cause. Once the cover is properly closed, the tamper fault should clear on the next panel check-in without a full system reset.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Videofied W panel is showing low battery again an hour after I just put in the new WBAT100 — did I get a dud cell?
The cell is almost certainly fine. Videofied W panels sample battery voltage during routine diagnostics, and a freshly installed Li-ion cell has not yet reached full float charge — so the panel reads a lower voltage and flags it. Leave the panel powered on mains for 24–48 hours without triggering a test. After that conditioning window, the low-battery warning should clear on its own.
The siren didn't sound during my test cycle after I replaced the backup battery in the W panel — is the new cell too weak to drive it?
The cell capacity is not the issue here. W panels impose a short stabilisation delay on siren output when a new cell is first accepted — typically 30–60 seconds after the panel completes its startup handshake. If you ran the test immediately after power-up, the panel may not have completed that window. Wait for the panel status indicator to show a settled ready state, then re-run the siren test.
The W panel keeps dropping off the control system network overnight even though the new battery looks fully charged on the panel display — what's causing this?
This points to voltage sag under the radio transmit load rather than a capacity problem. During wireless transmission, the cell must sustain current draw above its resting state — if the cell temperature drops overnight, internal resistance rises and voltage briefly dips below the panel's transmit threshold, causing it to drop off the network. Check that the panel enclosure is not mounted on an exterior wall where temperatures fall below 0°C, as Li-ion cells lose significant current delivery capacity below that point. Relocate the panel to an interior surface if overnight dropouts persist.
