Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logisty L3303 / L3305 Series — 7.2V Li-SOCl2 Replacement Battery
This is a 7.2V lithium thionyl chloride cell rated at 8500mAh (61.2Wh), built for long-term backup power in Logisty alarm panels. It fits the L3303, L3305, L2303CH, VOCALIS L3305, and over 25 additional Logisty panel variants. Li-SOCl2 chemistry holds voltage flat across years of standby draw — the key requirement in any always-on security application.
- Cross-panel compatibility on the L33 and L23 lines: These Logisty panels share a common backup battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake voltage threshold. A cell within the 7.2V Li-SOCl2 spec communicates correctly with the panel's charge controller regardless of which model you're swapping into.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell under simulated panel load and monitored the BMS acceptance cycle. The panel charge controller accepted the cell cleanly with no fault codes, and voltage held steady within the expected float window.
- Post-installation float charge window: After fitting this cell, do not run a full zone or siren diagnostic immediately. Allow 24–48 hours on float charge first. Li-SOCl2 cells undergo a brief passivation recovery period after installation — triggering high-draw events before that window closes can cause the panel to log a false low-battery fault.
Why Logisty panels report low battery hours after a fresh cell is fitted
Li-SOCl2 cells form a thin lithium chloride layer on the anode during storage — a natural passivation effect. When the panel first draws current from a new cell, internal resistance is temporarily elevated. The panel's BMS reads this as a voltage sag and flags a low-battery condition. This is not a faulty cell. The passivation layer dissolves over the first 24–48 hours under float charge, after which the cell delivers its rated voltage and the fault clears automatically.
Alarm loses saved programming when mains power drops after a battery swap
If the panel loses its configuration during a mains outage shortly after a battery replacement, the new cell has not yet been accepted into the charge circuit. Logisty panels require the backup cell to sit on float charge for a minimum of 48 hours before they treat it as a conditioned, trusted source. Before that window completes, the panel may not draw from the cell at all during a mains drop. Confirm the panel reads at least 7.0V on the battery terminals before intentionally cutting mains power.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Logisty panel still shows a low battery warning 12 hours after I put in the new cell — is it faulty?
It's almost certainly passivation lag, not a faulty cell. Li-SOCl2 chemistry builds a resistive layer during storage that temporarily raises internal resistance when the panel first draws current. The panel's BMS reads that as a low-voltage condition. Leave the cell on float charge for a full 48 hours — the warning should clear on its own once the cell reaches stable float voltage above 7.0V.
I ran a siren test right after swapping the backup battery and the siren didn't fire — what happened?
Triggering a siren test immediately after installing a new Li-SOCl2 cell pulls a high current load before the cell has come out of its passivation window. The panel detects a voltage drop under that surge and suppresses the siren output as a protective measure. Wait 24–48 hours after installation before running any siren or zone test. If the siren still doesn't fire after that window, check that the panel is reporting battery status as healthy before retesting.
The panel lost all its zones and user codes during a power cut two days after I replaced the battery — why?
The panel had not yet completed the 48-hour float conditioning cycle, so it did not treat the new cell as a trusted backup source. When mains dropped, the panel couldn't draw from the cell and lost power entirely, wiping volatile memory. Re-enter your programming, then allow a full 48 hours of uninterrupted mains power so the panel can condition the cell properly. Confirm the battery terminal voltage reads at least 7.0V before the next scheduled or unscheduled mains interruption.
