Fits Datang CM311 hotspot; replaces OEM part HD495060ARV.
3.8V, 2100mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full power to cellular radio and WiFi simultaneously without voltage sag.
Flat connector seats flush into the battery compartment; locking tab engages positive terminal contact with firm click.
Bench testing showed stable voltage delivery under combined 4G modem and dual WiFi client draw; BMS engaged protection at 2.8V floor.
If the CM311 disconnects users mid-session after battery swap, remove and reseat the cell — the modem firmware requires clean contact handshake on first boot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Datang CM311 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HD495060ARV)

This is a 3.8V, 2100mAh (7.98Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Datang CM311 portable Wi-Fi hotspot. It replaces OEM part HD495060ARV and restores full function when the original cell degrades. Dimensions are 63.11 × 50.35 × 5.30mm — measure your existing battery before ordering if you are unsure.

  • CM311 hotspot fit: The CM311 runs its cellular modem and Wi-Fi radio off the same 3.8V cell. This battery matches the voltage rail and physical footprint the BMS expects. A mismatched voltage will trip the protection circuit before the device boots.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell under combined modem and Wi-Fi load at full connection count. The BMS held voltage above the cutoff floor through sustained draw and passed the protection trip thresholds we check on every hotspot battery we stock.
  • Cellular radio heat management: Keep the CM311 in an open, ventilated spot during long sessions. When connected devices are far from the hotspot, the cellular radio runs at maximum transmit power — sustained heat from that load accelerates cell wear faster than any other operating condition on this device.

CM311 dropping connected devices mid-session on a new battery

When the CM311 is at maximum client count and the cellular signal is weak, the combined modem and Wi-Fi draw can spike hard enough to sag the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even on a new battery. The device reboots, which every connected user sees as a drop. Reducing the maximum connected device limit in the CM311 admin panel lowers sustained current draw and keeps the voltage rail stable. If the issue tracks with poor signal areas, the radio is pulling maximum output power; moving the hotspot closer to a window usually brings cell voltage back above the sag point.

CM311 not powering on after sitting unused in a drawer

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 1–3% per month. Left long enough, the CM311 battery will drop below the minimum boot voltage the BMS requires — typically around 3.0V on a 3.8V nominal cell — and the device will not respond to the power button at all. Connect the CM311 to its charger and leave it for at least 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; the BMS needs time to confirm the cell is above the recovery threshold before it will allow discharge. If the indicator light never appears after an hour on charge, the original battery has deep-discharged past recovery and this replacement cell is the correct next step.

Frequently Asked Questions

My CM311 hotspot keeps kicking everyone off Wi-Fi for a few seconds then reconnecting — is this a battery problem?

Yes, it can be. When the CM311 is serving several devices in a low-signal area, the cellular modem ramps to full transmit power and the combined draw can drag cell voltage below the BMS cutoff, triggering a momentary reboot. Check the CM311 admin panel and cap the maximum connected devices — fewer simultaneous clients drops the sustained current draw significantly. If the disconnects track with specific locations, move the hotspot closer to a window to reduce cellular radio output power and keep the voltage rail above the sag point.

The CM311 battery drains way faster than it used to — I've only had the replacement a few weeks.

The most common cause is the cellular radio operating at maximum output power due to poor signal, not a faulty cell. When the CM311 struggles to maintain a cellular connection, the modem draws 30–50% more current than it does in a strong-signal environment. Check how many devices are connected — each active client adds Wi-Fi radio load on top of the modem draw. Move the hotspot to a location with stronger signal and reduce connected device count; if drain normalises, the cell is fine and the load was the issue.

My CM311 won't turn on at all after I left it unused for a couple of months — the screen is completely blank.

Extended storage drains the cell below the minimum voltage the BMS requires before it will allow the device to boot — on a 3.8V nominal cell, that floor is around 3.0V. Plug the CM311 into its charger and wait at least 30 minutes without pressing the power button; the BMS needs to confirm cell voltage has recovered before it enables discharge. If the charge indicator light never appears after 60 minutes on charge, the original battery has self-discharged past the point of BMS recovery, and replacing it with this 2100mAh cell is the correct fix.
