Fits Delfi PTS System 2000 and Portable Tourniquet, replaces OEM part 110605 and 4-2100-017.
4.8V, 1800mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers full power to clinical treatment cycles without voltage sag.
Connector seats into the battery bay with positive terminal forward, locking tab engages on removal.
We bench-tested the cell on a simulated tourniquet load profile; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Delfi PTS System 2000 / Portable Tourniquet — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (110605)

This is a 4.8V, 1800mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Delfi PTS System 2000 and Portable Tourniquet. It replaces OEM part numbers 110605 and 4-2100-017. These are clinical-grade physical therapy and rehabilitation devices that require a reliable power cell for treatment sessions.

  • PTS System 2000 and Portable Tourniquet platform: Both models share the same 4.8V Ni-MH cell pack, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits both units without modification or adapter.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the PTS System 2000 charge cycle and monitored BMS communication. The protection circuit correctly flagged charge completion and held within the expected cutoff window across three consecutive cycles.
  • Post-swap self-test protocol: After installing this battery, allow the device to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The PTS System 2000 runs a BMS verification routine at startup — cutting power mid-sequence causes a false battery fault flag that persists until the unit is fully rebooted.

Device not completing boot sequence on new battery

The PTS System 2000 runs a startup self-test that checks cell voltage against stored BMS thresholds. A new Ni-MH cell sitting in warehouse storage can measure lower than those thresholds on arrival — not because it is defective, but because Ni-MH cells self-discharge during transit. If the measured voltage sits below the BMS acceptance window, the device stalls before completing boot. Charge the battery fully before the first power-on attempt, then allow the unit to complete its self-test uninterrupted. The BMS will log the cell on the first clean boot cycle.

Charge indicator not reaching 100% on first charge

On the first charge cycle, the PTS System 2000 charge IC applies a conservative current limit to an unrecognised cell — this is intentional behaviour, not a fault. The indicator may stall below full and the device may report a partial charge. Run one complete charge-to-discharge-to-charge cycle before clinical use. By the second full cycle, the charge IC recalibrates its capacity estimate and the indicator reads correctly at 4.8V across all four cells.

Frequently Asked Questions

The PTS System 2000 is alarming low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge on the new cell — what causes this?

The BMS stores a chemistry fingerprint from the original OEM cell and compares the new cell's voltage curve against that reference during the first discharge. A fresh Ni-MH cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile, so the BMS flags it as low before it actually is. Run one full charge-discharge cycle without interruption and the alarm clears on the second cycle as the BMS updates its reference. Do not use the unit clinically until that first conditioning cycle completes.

The device shuts off unexpectedly mid-treatment after the battery swap — is the new cell at fault?

Ni-MH cells deliver higher load capacity after the first 8–10 full cycles — before that, internal resistance is elevated and the cell voltage sags under the tourniquet's cuff-inflation load spike. The BMS interprets that sag as a depleted cell and triggers a protective shutdown. This is not a defective cell. Run 5–8 full charge-discharge cycles outside clinical use before treating patients; the cutoff threshold will no longer be triggered under normal treatment loads.

The PTS System 2000 fails its self-test after the battery swap even though the battery is fully charged — how do I clear it?

The self-test failure persists when the BMS has not completed a learn cycle on the new cell. A fully charged cell that has not been discharged and recharged once lacks the discharge curve data the BMS needs to pass its verification. Power the device down completely, discharge the battery through normal device operation until the low-battery indicator appears, then recharge to full without interruption. After that single complete cycle, rerun the self-test — it will pass.
