Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

DeTeWe Twinny Master — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (145306002110)
This 3.6V, 750mAh Ni-MH cell replaces the original rechargeable battery in the DeTeWe Twinny Master cordless DECT handset. It also fits the Twinmaster, Twinny, and 3GP4E handsets that share the same voltage rail and connector. Sourced to match OEM part numbers 145306002110, 1453.060-02110, 1453.060-02111, and 3GP4E.
- Twinny Master handset family: The Twinny Master, Twinmaster, Twinny, and 3GP4E all run on the same 3.6V single-cell Ni-MH pack with an identical contact footprint. One pack covers the group because the base station charging circuit is calibrated to the same voltage and charge rate across the range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the Twinny Master base station, confirming the BMS accepted the cell without throwing a charge error and that voltage held steady under DECT transmit load.
- First-charge protocol for Ni-MH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it undisturbed for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells in cordless phones need that slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — pulling the handset early will leave you with a noticeably shorter first cycle.
Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement
Ni-MH cells leave storage partially discharged and take three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they hit rated capacity. On cycle one, you may get noticeably less talk time than the old battery at its best — that is normal cell behaviour, not a fault. Run the handset until it signals low battery, then return it to the base for a full charge. Repeat this three to five times and capacity will stabilise at the 750mAh rating.
Base station showing no charge or error light after new pack installed
A Ni-MH pack that has sat in storage for months can arrive with a resting voltage low enough that the Twinny Master base station refuses to begin a charge cycle — the base reads the cell as faulty rather than flat. Remove the battery, let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes, then reinstall it and reseat the handset firmly in the cradle. If the error light clears within a few minutes the base has accepted the pack; if not, check that the handset contacts are clean and making full contact with the cradle pins.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Twinny Master handset keeps losing range after I put in the new battery — calls break up near the edges of the house. What's wrong?
Range drop after a battery swap usually points to voltage sag under RF load. When a fresh Ni-MH cell hasn't completed its conditioning cycles, its internal resistance is higher than normal, and the transmit power draw during a DECT call pulls the voltage below the level the radio module needs to maintain a clean signal. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles first. After conditioning, the cell holds voltage more steadily under transmit load and range returns to normal.
The handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — it won't register or connect. How do I fix it?
Some DECT phones drop their base pairing when power is fully removed from the handset, which is exactly what happens during a battery swap. This is a handset memory issue, not a battery fault. Re-register the handset using the base station's registration button — on most DeTeWe Twinny systems, hold the handset's registration key while pressing the base unit paging button until the handset confirms the link. Check the Twinny Master manual for the exact key sequence if the first attempt doesn't take.
The battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base. Is the battery faulty?
A battery draining overnight while in the cradle almost always means the handset isn't making proper contact with the charging pins. The Twinny Master base charges by direct pin contact, and even a slight misalignment stops current flowing to the cell. Lift the handset out, check that both charging contacts on the handset and cradle are clean and free of dust, then reseat it with a firm press until it clicks into position. Confirm the charge indicator light activates — if it doesn't light up, the handset is not seated correctly.
