Fits Tiptel DECT Line 660, 670, and 750 handsets; replaces original 3.6V Ni-MH battery pack.
3.6V, 750mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers stable voltage across talk and standby cycles on DECT handsets.
Battery slides into handset slot with connector alignment; locking tab seats flush against the housing.
We bench-tested this cell in a Line 670 base charger; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
After installation, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless batteries require slow charging to reach rated capacity on initial cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tiptel DECT Line 660 / 670 / 750 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 750mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for the Tiptel DECT Line 660, DECT Line 670, and DECT Line 750 cordless phone handsets. It slots directly into the handset battery compartment and restores talk and standby time when the original cell has degraded. Dimensions are 50.56 x 49.73 x 6.37mm — confirm these against your existing pack before ordering.

  • DECT Line 660, 670, and 750 compatibility: All three handsets share the same 3.6V single-cell Ni-MH battery form factor, identical connector orientation, and matching physical footprint — that is why one part covers the full trio.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the base station. The Ni-MH cells accepted charge from a cold state, the base station charging indicator responded correctly, and voltage held steady through standby draw.
  • First charge on a new Ni-MH pack: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cordless phone batteries arrive partially discharged from storage — a slow initial charge is what brings them to rated capacity, not a quick top-up.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

New Ni-MH cells do not deliver rated capacity on the first cycle. The chemistry needs three to five full charge-discharge cycles before the cells reach 750mAh. Each cycle, talk time will noticeably increase. If talk time is still short after five complete cycles, check that the handset is fully seated in the base — a poor cradle contact reduces charge current and the pack never reaches full voltage.

Base station showing no charge or error light after swapping the battery

Ni-MH packs can sit in warehouse storage for months and drop below the voltage threshold the base station expects before it starts charging. The base sees a voltage that looks like a fault rather than a depleted cell. To recover it, remove the battery, let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes, then reinstall and reseat the handset firmly. If the base still shows an error, measure the battery terminals — anything below 3.0V means the cells need a trickle pre-charge before the base will accept them.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tiptel DECT Line 660 handset drains completely overnight even though it's sitting in the base — is the new battery faulty?

A new Ni-MH pack draining overnight usually means the handset is not making solid contact with the base charging pins. Check that the handset clicks fully into the cradle and that the charge indicator light comes on. If the light is on but the pack still drains, clean the base contacts and handset contacts with a dry cloth — oxidation on either surface breaks the charge circuit. Confirm the base contact voltage reads 3.6–4.8V with a multimeter before assuming the battery is the problem.

My DECT Line 670 lost its pairing with the base station when I removed the battery — how do I get it back?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and many DECT phones clear pairing data when power drops to zero. This is normal behaviour, not a fault with the new battery. Re-register the handset using the base station's pairing button — on the DECT Line 670, hold the registration button on the base until the handset prompts you to confirm. Once paired, the handset will behave exactly as before.

The Tiptel DECT Line 750 handset cuts out or breaks up near the edge of the room after the battery swap — was the original battery somehow boosting the signal?

The original battery was not boosting anything — but a Ni-MH cell with degraded voltage sags under the RF transmit load, and a new pack that has not yet been conditioned can do the same thing for the first few cycles. Range will improve noticeably after three to five full charge-discharge cycles as the cells reach rated capacity. If range is still poor after conditioning, check that the replacement battery voltage measures at least 3.6V fully charged — anything below that means the pack is not reaching full charge.
