Fits Jimmy PW501 and V7 cordless vacuums; replaces OEM battery part number T-DC62.
21.6V, 3000mAh capacity delivers stable motor voltage under sustained suction loads on carpet.
Connector slides straight into the battery dock with a single locking tab; vertical orientation only.
We bench-tested this cell on a PW501 motor load—BMS held steady through filter restriction cycles without nuisance cutouts.
Remove the battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge; continuous dock contact causes capacity fade in cordless vacuums.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Jimmy PW501 / V7 — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (T-DC62)

This is a 21.6V, 3000mAh (64.8Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Jimmy PW501 and V7 cordless stick vacuums. It matches the OEM part number T-DC62 and connects to the same battery bay and BMS handshake as the factory cell. Use it when the original pack no longer holds a usable charge.

  • PW501 and V7 compatibility: Both models run the same 21.6V power rail and use the same T-DC62 connector and BMS communication protocol. The battery pack slots into either unit without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on a PW501 unit. The BMS responded correctly to motor start draw, sustained suction load, and end-of-discharge cutoff — no false trips observed.
  • Dock charging on cordless vacuums: Do not leave the PW501 sitting on the dock continuously between uses. Cordless vacuums on permanent dock charge develop capacity fade faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The PW501 motor draws higher current whenever the filter is partially blocked or the bin is full. That elevated draw causes voltage to sag at the cell level, and the BMS reads it as a near-depleted pack even when capacity remains. The indicator trips early and suction weakens — but the battery is not the cause. Clean the filter and empty the bin first. If suction recovers immediately, the battery is fine.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and restarts after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Restricted airflow — from a clogged filter, blockage in the hose, or a sealed floor attachment — forces the motor to pull beyond its rated current ceiling. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, then resets after the pack cools slightly. Clear the restriction, then restart. If the problem disappears, the battery is working exactly as intended. If it persists with a clean filter and clear path, check that the replacement cell voltage reads at least 21.6V fully charged.

Frequently Asked Questions

The suction is already weak when the battery still shows two bars — is the new cell faulty?

Not necessarily. On the PW501, a restricted filter or full bin causes the motor to pull more current than rated, which drags cell voltage down and fools the indicator into showing a lower charge than actually remains. Clean the filter, empty the bin, and run the vacuum again. If suction restores and the indicator stabilises, the battery is fine — the restriction was the cause.

The motor cuts out after 30–40 seconds of use, then restarts if I wait — what's happening?

This is the BMS triggering an overcurrent cutoff, not a defective cell. Sustained restricted airflow — blocked filter, sealed attachment, or a partial hose blockage — forces the motor beyond its current ceiling, and the BMS shuts the pack down to protect the cells. It resets once the pack temperature drops slightly, which is why it restarts. Clear every restriction in the airflow path and run again. If the cutouts stop, the battery is behaving correctly.

The replacement battery fades noticeably after only a few weeks — what causes that so quickly?

Leaving the PW501 on the charging dock continuously is the most common cause of early capacity fade in cordless vacuums. The dock applies a low-level trickle charge once the pack is full, and Li-ion cells held at 100% state of charge under continuous trickle degrade faster than cells cycled normally. Charge the battery to full, then remove it from the dock. Resume charging only when the pack is depleted.
