Dolphin CK65 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V Li-ion battery delivers 5200mAh (19.24Wh) of capacity for the Dolphin CK65 rugged handheld computer. The CK65 is a warehouse and logistics scanner used in pick-and-pack, receiving, and inventory count operations. This replacement fits directly into the CK65 battery bay and is recognised by the device BMS without modification.

• CK65 platform fit: The CK65 uses a dedicated single-cell Li-ion pack with a multi-pin connector that carries both power and BMS communication. This battery matches the required contact layout and voltage range so the device firmware accepts the pack and reports state-of-charge correctly on the status bar.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through simulated scan bursts combined with active wireless polling. The BMS held stable across repeated trigger pulls and maintained cell voltage above the low-battery cutoff without false shutdowns.

Charging cradles for the CK65 communicate with the battery pack through spring-loaded contact pins on the dock. If those pins or the corresponding pads on the battery have any oxidation or dust, the dock reads high contact resistance and flags a charging fault rather than starting the charge cycle. Remove the scanner, wipe the gold contact pads on the battery with a dry lint-free cloth, and reseat it firmly until the dock indicator changes state. If the fault clears, let the pack charge to 100% before the first shift.

On the CK65, the scan trigger and the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth radio draw current simultaneously during a rapid scan burst. If cell voltage sags below roughly 3.4V under that combined load, the radio module loses enough power to drop its connection before the BMS hits the main cutoff threshold. This typically shows up mid-shift when the battery is already partially depleted, not at the start of the day. Recharge the pack to full before a shift that involves continuous high-frequency scanning, or replace an aged cell that can no longer hold voltage under load.
