This 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Dopod 830T and TC600 Pocket PCs. These are Windows Mobile PDAs used for email, calendar, contacts, and document viewing. Voltage and capacity match the OEM spec exactly — swap out the degraded cell and restore normal operation.

  • 830T and TC600 compatibility: Both devices share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The 35H00051-03M part number covers both platforms — no adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on the 830T and confirmed the BMS accepted the battery without triggering a charge fault. Voltage held stable across standby and active-sync loads.
  • RAM data protection before swap: Sync all open data to a host PC before removing the battery. The Dopod 830T stores active application state and unsaved data in volatile SRAM, which is powered directly by the main battery. Why the Dopod 830T won't boot after a new battery is installed

The 830T boot sequence requires a minimum threshold voltage before the device will attempt to start. A new Li-Polymer cell ships in a partially discharged state — often around 3.4–3.5V — which can sit below that boot threshold. If the device shows nothing when you press power, connect it to the charger for at least 20–30 minutes before attempting to boot. Do not interpret a blank screen as a faulty battery.

Wireless sync dropping or failing after battery replacement

The 830T's wireless radio is voltage-sensitive — at charge levels below roughly 3.6V, the radio draws more current than the BMS will sustain, causing the sync to stall or drop mid-transfer. This looks like a driver or software problem but is a power issue. Charge the battery fully to 4.2V before attempting ActiveSync or Bluetooth transfer. A full charge resolves this in most cases.

I swapped the battery in my Dopod 830T and now my contacts and calendar are gone — what happened?

The 830T stores active data in SRAM, which loses its contents the moment main battery power is removed. If you didn't sync to a PC or ActiveSync backup before the swap, that data is gone from RAM. Going forward, run a full ActiveSync sync to your host computer before pulling the battery — this writes RAM-resident data to the PC. Anything stored to flash memory or a storage card survives the swap unaffected.

My Dopod 830T battery drains much faster than I expected — is the new cell faulty?

Li-Polymer cells ship with a partial charge and need two or three full charge-discharge cycles before capacity stabilises. The first cycle often looks short because the cell hasn't been conditioned yet. Run the device down to the low-battery warning, charge fully to 4.2V, and repeat twice — rated capacity at 1200mAh becomes consistent after conditioning. If drain is still heavy after three cycles, check whether wireless or Bluetooth is active in the background, as both draw significantly more than standby.

The Dopod 830T shows a charging indicator but the battery percentage never increases past 1% — what's causing that?

This usually means the cell discharged deep enough that the BMS entered protection mode and is blocking a normal charge current. The device shows "charging" because wall power is connected, but the BMS is trickling at a recovery rate too low to register. Leave it connected to the OEM charger or a 5V USB source for 45–60 minutes without interruption — the BMS will exit protection mode once the cell recovers above approximately 3.0V, after which normal charging resumes.
