Dopod Pean — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (UF553450U)

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh Li-ion cell for the Dopod Pean smartphone. It replaces part numbers UF553450U and XWD051087. Fit the cell when the original no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

• Dopod Pean compatibility: The Pean uses a dedicated battery bay sized for the 61.83 × 35.63 × 5.63mm form factor. Both OEM part numbers reference the same cell spec — same voltage rail, same connector, same BMS handshake footprint.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, confirming the BMS communicates charge state correctly and that the protection circuit trips at the expected low-voltage cutoff without latching the cell into permanent lockout.

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. Dopod Pean not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage. The Pean will show nothing on screen — no logo, no charging indicator. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it untouched for 15–30 minutes. The charge IC trickle-feeds current at a reduced rate to bring the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, after which normal charging resumes.
