This 3.7V Li-ion cell is a direct swap for the Dopod S600 smartphone battery. It carries 2200mAh (8.14Wh) of capacity and matches the original NIKI160 spec. The physical dimensions — 46.71 × 44.08 × 11.28mm — fit the S600 battery bay without modification.

• S600 platform fit: The S600 uses a fixed 3.7V single-cell architecture with a low-current BMS handshake tied to the OEM connector. This cell matches that voltage rail and connector pinout, so the device powers on and reads battery status without triggering a hardware fault.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge-charge sequence and monitored BMS communication throughout. The protection circuit held cutoff at the expected low-voltage threshold and accepted charge current without interruption.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the S600 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the old cell's discharge curve in memory. The new cell hits a voltage cliff earlier than the IC expects, so the phone cuts out before the reported percentage reaches zero. The S600's modem and display draw a short burst of current during active use — at that load, a freshly installed cell with an uncalibrated gauge drops voltage fast enough to trigger the protection circuit. Run one full discharge-charge cycle and the IC rewrites its model against the actual cell behaviour.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If this battery arrived or sat unused long enough to drop below 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout and the phone shows no sign of life. Connect the S600 to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will release the lockout and allow a normal boot. If the device still won't respond after 30 minutes, check the charger is delivering at least 5V to the port.
