Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dreame H10 / H11 / H12 Series — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (VWV8)
This is a 21.6V 4000mAh (86.4Wh) lithium-ion battery pack for Dreame cordless stick vacuums. It fits the H10, H11, H12 Max, and H12s, among others. The OEM part numbers it replaces are VWV8, HHR24A, and SZ2101.
- H10 / H11 / H12 platform compatibility: These models share the same 21.6V cell architecture, battery bay connector, and BMS handshake protocol. A single replacement pack covers the full platform without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the H10 motor platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the charger, held cell balance across all cycles, and triggered overcurrent protection at the expected threshold under restricted airflow conditions.
- Dock charging habit on Dreame vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Dreame's dock delivers a low-level trickle once full, and sustained trickle charge accelerates cell degradation faster on this platform than intermittent top-up charging. Charge to full, then remove.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before battery indicator reaches low
On the H10 and H12 series, suction loss under load is not always a battery failure — it is often a BMS overcurrent response to restricted airflow. When a filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than rated to maintain fan speed. The BMS detects the spike and throttles output voltage, which the user feels as suction drop. The indicator may still show three bars. Check and clean the filter first, then test suction at the nozzle with no attachments — if suction recovers, the pack is fine.
Motor cuts out mid-clean and then restarts after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a faulty cell. The motor controller on these Dreame vacuums demands a short high-current burst when transitioning from hard floor to carpet — if the pack's internal resistance is elevated from age or prior deep discharge, the BMS interprets that current spike as unsafe and cuts output. After a few seconds, it resets and restores power. Measure pack voltage immediately after a cutout: if it reads below 18V under load, cell degradation is the cause and replacement is the fix. If voltage holds above 19V, inspect the filter and brush roll for partial blockage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Dreame H12 Max shows full charge but suction feels noticeably weaker than when it was new — what's happening?
Capacity fade from continuous dock charging is the most common cause on this platform. Cells that have been trickle-charged on the dock for weeks lose usable capacity even though the BMS still reports a full charge — the upper voltage ceiling the charger reads stays the same, but the cells can no longer sustain that voltage under motor load. Pull the pack off the dock between uses, run it down properly before charging, and if the issue persists with a new battery, clean the filter — a restricted filter forces the motor to draw higher current, which also reads as weaker suction.
The vacuum cuts out completely for a few seconds then powers back on by itself — is this a battery fault or something else?
This is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, which happens when the motor draws more than the pack's rated threshold — usually during a transition onto thick carpet or when the brush roll is partially blocked. We reproduced this on the bench with a restricted nozzle and saw the BMS cut and reset within three to five seconds each time. Remove the brush roll and check for hair or debris wrap, then clean the filter. If cutouts continue on a clear machine, measure pack voltage immediately after a trip — below 18V under load points to cell degradation.
I left my Dreame H10 unused for three months and now the charger light flashes but never goes solid green — can the battery recover?
A deeply discharged lithium pack can drop below the BMS's minimum re-entry voltage, which causes the charger to detect an out-of-range cell and refuse to enter normal charge mode. Leave the pack connected to the charger for 30 to 60 minutes in this state — many Dreame chargers run a low-current recovery pulse before switching to full charge. If the light does not transition to solid green after 60 minutes, the cells have self-discharged past the recovery threshold and the pack will not recover; replace it and charge the new pack within a week of installation to avoid repeating the condition.
