Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LEXY R510-3 / R330S / R510-1 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (HG230601)
This is a 14.4V 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the LEXY R510-3, R330S, and R510-1 cordless stick vacuums. It uses OEM part number HG230601 and fits the original battery compartment directly. Capacity is rated at 3000mAh (43.2Wh), matching the factory specification for these models.
- R510-3, R330S, and R510-1 compatibility: All three models share the same 14.4V battery rail, physical connector, and BMS communication profile — that is why a single cell covers the full range. The R330S uses the same motor driver board as the R510 series, so voltage tolerance and charge cutoff thresholds are identical across all three.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the HG230601 cell through full charge-discharge cycles on the R510-3 motor assembly. The BMS accepted the charge profile without error, held cutoff voltage correctly under sustained motor load, and did not trip on the inrush current at start-up.
- Dock charging on LEXY stick vacs: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. Ni-MH cells in continuous trickle charge lose capacity faster than cells cycled normally. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and reconnect only when the battery is depleted.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the R510-3
Ni-MH cells show a voltage sag under sustained motor load before the indicator registers a low state. On the R510-3, this appears as reduced suction — especially on carpet — while the LED still shows adequate charge. A partially blocked filter makes this worse because the motor draws above its rated current to compensate, pulling the cell voltage down faster. Check and clean the filter first. If the sag continues on a clean filter, the existing cell has lost capacity and replacement is the correct fix.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When airflow is restricted — by a clogged filter or a blockage in the suction path — the motor draws sustained high current to maintain suction, and the BMS cuts power to protect the cell. The vacuum recovers once the BMS resets, typically within a few seconds. Clear the filter and check the suction path for blockages. If the cut-out stops after cleaning, the cell is fine; if it continues on a clear airway, the existing battery can no longer hold voltage under load and should be replaced.

Frequently Asked Questions
My LEXY R510-3 loses suction noticeably but the battery light still shows green — why?
This is voltage sag in the Ni-MH cell under motor load, not an indicator fault. The battery LED on the R510-3 reads state of charge at rest, not under load, so it can show green while the cell voltage has already dropped enough to reduce motor speed. Clean the filter first — a restricted airway forces the motor to draw above rated current, which deepens the sag. If suction stays weak on a clean filter, the cell has degraded and replacement will restore normal motor voltage.
The vacuum cuts out for a few seconds during use, then starts again on its own — is this the battery or the motor?
That cut-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. The R510-3 BMS monitors current draw continuously; when the motor pulls sustained high current — usually from a blocked filter or restricted hose — the BMS disconnects the cell to protect it, then resets. Check and clear the filter and suction path before assuming the battery is the problem. If cut-outs stop after cleaning the filter, the replacement cell is not needed; if they continue on a clear airway, the existing cell can no longer hold voltage under load.
My LEXY R510 battery seems to get weaker every few months even though I barely use it — what causes that?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of accelerated capacity fade in Ni-MH stick vacuums. The R510 charging dock supplies a low trickle current indefinitely, and Ni-MH cells degrade faster under continuous trickle charge than under normal cycle use. Remove the vacuum from the dock once charging is complete and only reconnect when the battery is fully depleted. Replacing a battery that has faded this way is straightforward — but the same fade will return on the new cell if the charging habit does not change.
