Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dremel 1100LI / Stylus Series — 7.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (2.610.013.393)
This 7.2V 2600mAh Li-ion battery fits the Dremel 1100LI, Driver 1120, 1100-25, and Stylus 1100 rotary tools. It replaces OEM parts 2.610.013.393 and 2.610.930.072. Capacity figure is taken directly from our product specification — 18.72Wh total energy.
- 1100LI and Stylus series fit: These models share the same 7.2V cell stack, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between them does not require any adapter or firmware change — the charger reads cell state from the same communication line across all listed variants.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through charge and discharge cycles on a Dremel 1100LI unit. The BMS correctly flagged overcurrent on a hard-stall test and recovered cleanly on reconnect. Cell balance across the stack stayed within 30mV throughout.
- Motor inrush break-in on first use: Run the tool at half-speed for the first two cycles before pushing it to full load. This lets the BMS profile the inrush current spike from the motor and calibrate its overcurrent threshold — reducing nuisance trips during aggressive cutting or grinding passes.
BMS cutoff on trigger pull during rotary tool inrush surge
The Dremel 1100LI draws a sharp inrush current the instant the motor spins up from rest. On a cold or recently stored pack, internal cell resistance is elevated — enough to push that spike past the BMS overcurrent threshold. The pack shuts down before the motor reaches running speed. If this happens consistently, check that the battery contacts on the tool are clean and making full surface contact, since even slight oxidation adds resistance and worsens the voltage drop at start.
Pack drops below charger acceptance voltage after storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge over time. If a pack has sat unused for several months, cell voltage can fall below the 3.0V per cell threshold the Dremel charger needs to begin a charge cycle — the charger simply refuses to engage. Place the pack in the charger and check for a blinking or absent indicator light. If the charger shows no response within two minutes, try a brief trickle from a compatible Li-ion recovery charger set to 7.2V until cell voltage recovers to approximately 3.2V per cell, then return it to the Dremel charger.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Dremel 1100LI cuts out the moment I press the trigger — is it the battery or the tool?
That cut-out on trigger pull is almost always a BMS overcurrent trip, not a tool fault. The motor's inrush current spike at start-up briefly exceeds what the BMS will allow, especially if the pack is cold or has just come off storage. Clean the battery contacts on both the pack and the tool with isopropyl alcohol to reduce contact resistance. If it still trips, run one full charge cycle and try again at half speed first — the BMS recalibrates its thresholds after a complete cycle.
The tool feels strong at first but bogs down and loses torque after a few minutes of grinding — what's happening?
That's voltage sag under sustained thermal load. The motor heats up during extended grinding passes, and as cell temperature rises inside the compact housing, internal resistance climbs and the voltage rail drops. The tool loses torque because it's running on a lower effective voltage. Let the pack cool for five minutes between heavy sessions. If sag starts earlier over time, the cells are experiencing capacity fade — check resting voltage after a full charge: it should read 8.4V at the pack terminals.
After sitting in a drawer for six months, my new replacement pack won't charge — the charger just blinks and does nothing. What do I do?
Self-discharge during storage has likely pulled one or more cells below the 3.0V per cell acceptance floor the Dremel charger requires before it will start a cycle. Leave the pack seated in the charger for 10–15 minutes anyway — some chargers will attempt a slow pre-charge pulse at low voltage. If there's still no response, use a Li-ion compatible recovery charger set to 7.2V and a trickle rate of 200mA until pack voltage recovers to approximately 7.5V, then return it to the Dremel charger to complete the full charge.
