Fits Pocket PDA and replaces E-Plus WIZA16 battery pack.
3.7V, 2350mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 8.7Wh — sufficient for full-day operation on standard usage patterns.
Connector seats flush into the original battery slot with positive terminal alignment; no adapter required.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion; voltage curve tracked within 50mV of nominal discharge profile across load cycles.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

E-Plus Pocket PDA — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (WIZA16)

This is a 3.7V, 2350mAh (8.7Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the E-Plus Pocket PDA. It slots in when the original cell has degraded past usable capacity or failed outright. Voltage and connector match the OEM spec — WIZA16 part number confirmed.

  • Pocket PDA platform fit: The WIZA16 cell uses a fixed 3.7V nominal rail and a connector pinout specific to the Pocket PDA chassis. No adapter or wiring change is needed — the BMS communication lines align with the device's charge controller as the OEM cell does.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Pocket PDA platform. The BMS handed off correctly to the device charge IC, and protection cutoffs triggered at expected thresholds — no false trips during screen-on load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Pocket PDA after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When voltage drops under modem or display load, the new cell hits a voltage cliff the gauge didn't predict — the device reads 25% but the cell is already below the cutoff threshold. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter has a real baseline for the new cell and percentage readings stabilise.

Device won't power on after sitting in storage — BMS lockout

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the Pocket PDA sat unused long enough, the cell may have dropped below 2.5V — the threshold where the BMS locks out to prevent damage from deep discharge. The device will not respond to a normal power-on attempt. Connect the charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell until the BMS re-initialises, typically above 2.8V per cell, at which point normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Pocket PDA shuts off at around 25% battery — why does this happen with a new cell?

The fuel gauge IC is still running on the discharge curve it learned from the old battery. When the new cell's voltage drops under screen or modem load, it hits a cutoff point the gauge didn't anticipate — so the device shuts down even though it displays charge remaining. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown and then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That gives the coulomb counter a real baseline for the new cell, and the percentage readings will track correctly after that.

Fast charging isn't working on the first cycle after I installed the replacement battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. On the first cycle, the BMS in the new cell and the device's charge IC go through a handshake to negotiate charge current. Some proprietary and USB-PD fast charge protocols won't engage until that handshake completes successfully, which typically requires the first charge to finish at standard rate. Let the first cycle complete at whatever rate the device accepts, then fast charging should engage normally from the second cycle onward.

The Pocket PDA feels warm near the battery area while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth on the first few charges is expected. A new cell arrives with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, and the charge IC pushes current into a higher-resistance load — that converts more energy to heat. If the device becomes hot to the touch or the charger disconnects early, remove it and let it cool before recharging. After three to four full cycles, impedance drops and charging warmth returns to normal levels.
