Fits Eartec ComStar Wireless Headsets; replaces OEM part CS-800LI.
3.7V Li-Polymer cell delivers 950mAh capacity for full talk cycles on DECT platforms.
Connector seats into the ComStar battery compartment with a spring-contact locking tab.
We ran load cycles on a base station paired unit; BMS accepted the handshake cleanly.
Charge the headset in the base station for one full cycle before field use — DECT systems require the base to log the new cell first.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eartec ComStar Wireless Headsets — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (CS-800LI)

This 3.7V, 950mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original CS-800LI pack in Eartec ComStar wireless headset systems. The ComStar platform is used in aviation, construction, and live event environments where continuous, clear communication matters. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.

  • ComStar platform fit: The ComStar headset series shares a common 3.7V Li-Polymer cell format across units. The connector pinout, BMS handshake protocol, and physical dimensions — 43.00 × 35.80 × 13.00 mm — align with the OEM CS-800LI specification, so the base station recognises the new pack without reconfiguration.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the ComStar base station charger and monitored BMS communication. The protection circuit responded correctly to full-charge cutoff and low-voltage lockout. No fault codes appeared during the charge sequence.
  • First-cycle base station protocol: Seat the headset in the base station and run a complete charge cycle before taking your first call. The base station uses that initial cycle to log the new cell and calibrate the talk-time indicator — skipping it causes the display to report inaccurate charge levels for several sessions.

Base station showing a charging error after fitting a new pack

The ComStar base station communicates with the battery BMS during the first charge handshake to verify cell voltage and chemistry. If the replacement cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — the base may flag a fault before the handshake completes. Remove the headset, wait 10 seconds, and re-seat it firmly in the charging cradle. If the fault clears, allow the full charge cycle to run uninterrupted to 4.2V before using the headset.

Headset cutting out mid-transmission on a fully charged new battery

The ComStar headset draws current on two simultaneous loads — the audio amplifier and the DECT radio transmitter. On the first few cycles of a new Li-Polymer cell, internal resistance is slightly elevated, and that combined draw can pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold momentarily, triggering a shutdown. This resolves progressively over three to five full charge-discharge cycles as the cell conditions. If cutouts persist past five cycles, check that the cell is reaching a full 4.2V charge before each use.

Frequently Asked Questions

The base station shows a full charge but the headset shuts off after just a few minutes of use — what's happening?

A new cell delivered at storage voltage (around 3.6V) can register as "full" on the base station display before completing a proper charge cycle. The BMS then hits low-voltage cutoff faster than expected under real load. Seat the headset in the base and run one uninterrupted charge cycle all the way to 4.2V before use — the talk-time behaviour normalises after that first complete cycle.

Talk time is noticeably shorter on the new pack than it was on the original battery at its best — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. A fresh Li-Polymer cell performs below its rated 950mAh capacity for the first few cycles because internal resistance hasn't settled. Talk time improves measurably over three to five full charge-discharge cycles as the cell conditions. Track talk time from cycle three onward — if it's still significantly short after five cycles, confirm the cell is reaching 4.2V at end of charge.

The headset gets noticeably warm during long calls — is that a problem with this cell?

The ComStar housing is compact, and the battery handles simultaneous audio amplifier and DECT radio draw in a small thermal envelope. Moderate warmth during extended calls is normal for this form factor. The BMS will cut off the cell before it reaches an unsafe temperature. If the headset becomes too hot to hold comfortably, end the call, let it cool for five minutes, and check that the charging contacts on the base are clean and making solid contact.
