Fits Corsair H2100 wireless gaming headset; replaces OEM part number MH45908.
3.7V, 700mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers the power density needed for sustained DECT radio and audio draw without voltage sag.
Connector seats into the headset battery compartment with a friction-fit design; no locking tab — push straight in until seated flush.
We bench-tested the MH45908 in a H2100 unit across multiple charge cycles; BMS handshake completes on first insertion into the base station dock.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking a call — DECT headsets require the base to log the new cell before the talk-time estimate updates accurately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Corsair H2100 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (MH45908)

This is a 3.7V, 700mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Corsair H2100 and Gaming H2100 Dolby 7.1 Wireless Gaming Headset. It fits models CA-9011136-AP and CA-9011127-NA, among others. When the original cell can no longer hold a charge, this swap restores wireless audio and DECT radio function.

  • H2100 series compatibility: All listed H2100 variants share the same 3.7V Li-Polymer cell, connector pinout, and BMS handshake requirement through the base station dock. Swapping within this family does not require firmware changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the H2100 base station and confirmed the BMS completed its handshake, accepted a full charge cycle, and delivered stable voltage under simultaneous audio and DECT radio draw.
  • First-charge protocol for the H2100: Seat the headset in the base station and let it complete one uninterrupted full charge before use. The base logs the new cell during this cycle — skip it and the talk-time indicator will read inaccurately for several sessions.

Base station not recognising the new pack after swap

The H2100 base station uses a BMS handshake to register a new cell before it will display charge status or enable wireless pairing. If the base shows no charging activity after a battery swap, the cell likely arrived at storage voltage — around 3.6V — which can prevent the handshake from initiating. Place the headset firmly in the cradle and leave it connected for at least 15 minutes without moving it. Once the base acknowledges the cell, the charge indicator will activate and the full cycle can complete normally.

Headset cuts out mid-call even with a freshly charged battery

The H2100 draws current simultaneously from two loads: the audio driver and the DECT radio transmitter. Under that combined draw, a cell with even minor capacity fade can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold before the charge indicator suggests it should. This is a voltage-sag failure, not a capacity failure — the cell reads as charged but cannot sustain the peak current spike. If cut-outs happen consistently during calls but not during standby audio, check that the cell voltage under load does not drop below 3.2V, which is the typical BMS trip point for this cell class.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Corsair H2100 base station shows a charging error right after I put in the new battery — what's going on?

The base station expects the new cell to complete a BMS handshake before it registers a valid charge state. If the battery arrived at storage voltage, the base may not initiate that handshake immediately. Seat the headset firmly in the cradle and leave it undisturbed for 15–20 minutes — the handshake typically completes within that window and the charge indicator will activate. If the error persists beyond 30 minutes, remove the headset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it to trigger a fresh handshake attempt.

Talk time on my H2100 is noticeably short for the first few uses after replacing the battery — is the new cell faulty?

This is normal behaviour for a fresh Li-Polymer cell, not a fault. New cells operate below their rated capacity until the electrodes have gone through three to five full charge-discharge cycles. Each cycle slightly increases the usable capacity as the cell stabilises. Run three full charge cycles — charge in the base until complete, then use the headset until the battery indicator drops low — and talk time will improve noticeably by the fourth cycle.

My H2100 headset gets noticeably warm during long gaming sessions — is that a battery issue?

Some warmth is expected. The H2100 housing is compact, and the battery sustains dual draw from both the audio driver and the DECT radio transmitter continuously during use. The cell itself generates heat under that combined load, and the tight enclosure has limited airflow to dissipate it. If the headset becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to wear, take it off and let it cool for five minutes — sustained heat above operating range accelerates cell degradation over time and will shorten the usable life of the replacement cell.
