Fits ECS G730 and Green 732 notebooks; replaces OEM battery LIP-X036.
14.8V and 6600mAh capacity delivers full system power for CPU, display, and peripherals without AC.
Connector mates directly to G730 motherboard socket with positive-first seating and friction-latch retention.
We bench-tested the cell against a G730 motherboard; BMS accepted the charge handshake without fault codes and held stable voltage under mixed CPU-GPU load.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after cell replacement.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ECS G730 / Green 732 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LIP-X036)

This is a 14.8V, 6600mAh (97.68Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the ECS G730 and Green 732 laptops. It slots into the original battery bay and connects to the same charge controller the factory cell used. Install it when the original pack no longer holds enough charge for untethered use.

  • G730 and Green 732 compatibility: Both models share the same 14.8V four-cell series configuration and the same LIP-X036 connector pinout. The BMS handshake on this replacement matches the charge controller spec on both platforms, so no adapter or firmware workaround is needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a G730 unit under sustained CPU and display load. The BMS held the 14.8V nominal rail without triggering an early protection cutoff, and charge termination occurred cleanly at full capacity.
  • First-cycle recalibration on the G730: After installing, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the false low-health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor after installing the LIP-X036

The G730 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers on the battery pack. When a new cell arrives, those registers don't match the learned values from the old pack, so the BIOS flags health as poor or unknown. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — this triggers the battery learn cycle and rewrites the BIOS health registers against the new cell's actual data.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't calibrated against the new cell yet. The OS shows 25% remaining, but the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the BMS cutoff threshold under full CPU and display load — so the laptop cuts out. It's a calibration gap, not a defective battery. Complete two or three full discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles to allow the fuel gauge IC to map the new cell's voltage curve accurately. After calibration, the displayed percentage will track the real remaining charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

The G730 charged fine last night but the BIOS is now showing the new battery as "unknown" — what happened?

The BIOS pulled EEPROM data from the old pack and stored it as the reference baseline. When the new LIP-X036 cell was installed, the register values didn't match, so the BIOS flagged it as unknown. This is not a hardware fault. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — that forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to register the new cell and clear the unknown status.

The OS says the replacement battery is only 87Wh but the spec is 97.68Wh — is the battery faulty?

No. The Wh figure shown in the OS is read from the EEPROM on the pack, and that value reflects rated chemistry data rather than a live measurement of the new cell. After the fuel gauge IC runs calibration cycles against the actual cell, the reported Wh figure will align more closely with the rated 97.68Wh. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles, then check the system info again.

The G730 charges to 80% then stops — the charge light goes off and nothing changes for hours.

Some ECS G730 BIOS builds ship with a charge-limit setting enabled that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell wear. This is controlled by firmware, not by the battery itself. Go into the BIOS power or battery settings menu and look for a charge limit or battery care mode option — disable it. If no such option appears, check whether an ECS power management utility is installed in Windows and turn off any charge cap set there.
