Fits LG LW20 Express notebook; replaces OEM part numbers LB52114B, LB62114B, XBA06LG-W20, and XBA06LG-W25.
11.1V and 4400mAh (48.84Wh) restores full capacity to machines experiencing sudden shutdown or depleted charge hold.
Connector slides into the battery slot on the bottom panel; locking tab secures the cell flush with the chassis edge.
We ran a full discharge-to-cutoff cycle on an LW20 unit; the BMS held stable voltage until final 2%, then dropped cleanly without firmware errors.
After installation, discharge completely to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

LG LW20 Express — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LB52114B)

This is an 11.1V 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion cell for the LG LW20 Express notebook and its variants, including the LW20-12DU1 and LW20-1333. It replaces OEM part numbers LB52114B, LB62114B, XBA06LG-W20, and XBA06LG-W25. Install this when the original cell no longer sustains a charge under portable use.

  • LW20 series compatibility: The LW20, LW20-12DU1, LW20-1333, and related variants all share the same 11.1V three-cell Li-ion architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why one cell fits the full platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge-discharge cycles on LW20-series hardware and monitored BMS communication at each stage. The protection circuit responded correctly to charge termination and low-voltage cutoff at every pass.
  • First-cycle conditioning on the LW20: After installing, run the laptop on battery alone until it reaches hibernate cutoff — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the LW20's BIOS to complete its battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after any cell swap.

Why the LW20 shuts down at 20–30% after a battery swap

The LW20's BIOS fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the discharge curve of the original cell. A new cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity slope, so the gauge hits its low-battery threshold early and triggers shutdown before the cell is actually depleted. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Running two to three full discharge-to-hibernate cycles allows the fuel gauge IC to re-map its curve against the new cell and restores accurate shutoff behaviour.

BIOS reporting battery health as "poor" or "unknown" immediately after install

The LW20 reads health data from EEPROM registers embedded in the battery's BMS. When a new cell is installed, those registers carry factory-default values that do not match the BIOS's expected charge history, triggering a false health warning. This is an EEPROM initialisation state, not a sign the cell is defective. Complete the battery learn cycle — one full discharge to hibernate cutoff followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100% — and the BIOS will rewrite its health baseline to match the new cell's actual state.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LG LW20 Express shows the battery as 0% or "unknown" in Windows right after fitting the new cell — is the battery dead?

No — the LW20's fuel gauge IC reads EEPROM data from the battery's BMS, and a new cell ships with factory-default register values that Windows and the BIOS do not recognise as a valid charge history. This triggers a false "unknown" or 0% reading. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff and then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell and the OS reads correctly.

The LW20 shows a Wh rating in system info that doesn't match what's on the battery label — which one is right?

The figure shown in Windows system info is pulled from the EEPROM on the old BMS profile, not from the physical cell now installed. The replacement cell is rated at 48.84Wh. Until the BIOS completes at least one full learn cycle, the reported Wh figure will reflect stale EEPROM data from the prior battery's chemistry profile — not the new cell's actual capacity.

The LW20 charge stops and holds at around 80% and never reaches 100% — is the new battery faulty?

This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Some LW20 firmware revisions enable a charge ceiling to reduce cell stress, and this setting persists regardless of which cell is installed. Check the BIOS power management settings under battery care or charge control and disable the limit. If no such setting exists, check whether the LG battery utility software is running in the background and enforcing a charge threshold — disable it and cycle power to resume full charging.
