Fits Electrolux EUP82MG and EUP82RR cordless vacuums, replaces OEM part 140112530252, 140112530047, 140112530179, 140112530278.
29.6V lithium-ion pack with 3000mAh capacity delivers the voltage and current needed for sustained motor power on carpet and hard floors.
Connects via Electrolux proprietary dock connector with positive and negative contacts; slides vertically into the battery slot until the retention clip locks.
We bench-tested this cell on the EUP82MG motor load—BMS accepted the handshake on first dock contact and delivered full 29.6V with no initial cutoff.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously; trickle-charge cycles degrade the pack capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles do.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Electrolux EUP82MG Series — 29.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (140112530252)

This 29.6V lithium-ion battery at 3000mAh (88.8Wh) replaces the original power cell in the Electrolux EUP82MG and EUP82RR cordless stick vacuums. It fits models 900278801 01 and 900278802 01 along with additional variants in the same family. The OEM part numbers 140112530047, 140112530179, and 140112530278 all cross to this cell.

  • EUP82 family compatibility: These models share a common 29.6V power rail, the same physical connector, and an identical BMS handshake protocol — which is why one battery covers the full model range listed above.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles and confirmed the BMS communicates correctly with the vacuum's motor controller. The overcurrent protection tripped and reset normally during sustained high-load draws.
  • Dock charging habit on this vacuum: Leaving the EUP82 series on the charging dock continuously accelerates capacity fade. The dock does not stop trickle current once full. Charge to 100% and disconnect — store the vacuum off the dock between uses.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the EUP82

The EUP82's motor controller monitors both battery voltage and current draw simultaneously. When the filter is partially blocked, motor draw increases and the BMS interprets the resulting voltage sag as a low-battery condition — even when cells still hold charge. The vacuum reduces power to protect the battery before the indicator LED reflects actual state of charge. Clean the filter first; if suction restores, the battery is not the fault.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Sustained restricted airflow forces the motor to pull above the BMS threshold — typically triggered when the brush roll is tangled or the filter is clogged past 50% restriction. The BMS cuts power, waits for current demand to drop, then resets automatically. Clear the blockage and check that resting voltage returns to at least 28V before resuming use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My EUP82MG loses suction well before the battery light shows it's low — is this the battery or something else?

Usually something else first. A partially clogged filter raises motor current draw, which causes a voltage sag the BMS reads as low charge — even when the battery still has capacity. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for tangles before blaming the cell. If suction restores after cleaning, the battery is fine.

The vacuum motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then comes back on its own — what's happening?

That's the BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a failed battery. The EUP82's motor draws more current when airflow is restricted, and once it crosses the BMS threshold the pack shuts down to protect the cells. It resets automatically when current demand drops. Clear any blockage in the filter or brush roll and confirm resting pack voltage is at or above 28V before running it again.

I've had this replacement battery for a few months and it already seems weaker than when it arrived — what went wrong?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause on this vacuum model. The EUP82 charging dock does not cut trickle current once the battery reaches full charge, so cells left on the dock degrade faster than those cycled normally. Charge to 100%, remove from the dock, and store the vacuum unplugged between uses to slow capacity loss from here on.
