Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Emporia V32 / Click V32 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AK-V32)
This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Emporia V32, Click V32, and Click V32C smartphones. It fits the original battery bay and uses the same connector and contact layout as the factory AK-V32 unit. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.
- V32 and Click V32 series fit: These models share the same chassis width, battery bay depth, and contact pin arrangement — one cell covers the full V32 platform without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a V32 unit. The BMS accepted charge current from the stock charger without negotiation errors, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle before normal use. The Emporia V32's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to your old cell's discharge curve — giving it one uninterrupted cycle on the new cell lets it reset that baseline before fast-charge current is applied.
Why the Emporia V32 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The V32 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state by modelling the cell's discharge curve — not by measuring raw voltage alone. When you replace the cell, the IC still holds the old curve in memory. The percentage readout drifts because the new cell's voltage profile doesn't match that stored model. One full discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100% with the screen on, forces the IC to relearn the curve and restore accurate reporting.
Emporia V32 shuts off suddenly at 20–30% charge remaining
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem's minimum supply threshold under load — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. A degraded or deeply discharged cell sags in voltage the moment the modem transmits or the screen brightens. The BMS reads that sag as a cutoff condition and shuts the phone down. After fitting the replacement cell, charge it fully to 4.2V before the first call to confirm the cell is not starting from a storage-depleted state.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Emporia V32 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?
Almost certainly not. A Li-ion cell stored below 2.5V triggers BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage, and the phone shows no signs of life. Connect the original Emporia charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs above the BMS re-enable threshold, usually around 2.9V, at which point the phone will respond normally.
Why does the battery percentage on my Emporia V32 jump around erratically — say from 45% straight to 12%?
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell. The old cell's charge data is still in the IC's memory, so readings are unreliable until the counter resets. Run one complete cycle: drain the phone until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single cycle the percentage readout should track smoothly without large jumps.
The Emporia V32 feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?
Mild warmth on the first few charge cycles is normal with a fresh high-impedance cell. A new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat early on. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — remove the charger and let it cool. Normal temperature should settle after three to four full charge cycles as internal resistance drops.
