Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Emporia Telme C131 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BAT-C110)
This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion cell built to fit the Emporia Telme C131 basic mobile phone. It matches the OEM part number BAT-C110 and drops into the original battery compartment using the same footprint: 55.50 × 35.10 × 5.50mm. When the original cell no longer holds a charge, this unit restores normal operation.
- Telme C131 and C131 variant fit: Both listed models use the same battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell covers both. The voltage rail sits at 3.7V nominal, consistent across the C131 production run.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the C131 platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault flags, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at low-voltage cutoff — no forced shutdowns mid-cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff followed by a full uninterrupted charge before relying on the percentage indicator. The C131's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve — one full cycle re-anchors it to the new cell.
Why the Telme C131 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The C131 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state against a learned discharge curve from the original cell. A new cell has a slightly different internal impedance and discharge profile. Until the IC runs at least one full cycle on the new cell, its coulomb counter is working off stale calibration data. The result is percentage readings that are either inflated early or collapse suddenly — both resolve after that first complete cycle.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% remaining on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under load — a behaviour called a voltage cliff — before the fuel gauge reaches 0%. On the C131, the modem draws a burst of current during a call or network search; if the cell cannot sustain voltage above the BMS cutoff threshold under that load, the phone shuts off even though the reported percentage looks safe. Check that the cell contacts are clean and seated flat. If the issue continues after one full recalibration cycle, confirm the cutoff voltage is triggering at or below 3.0V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Emporia C131 just switched off mid-call even though the battery showed 25% — why?
That's a voltage cliff shutdown. Under the current spike of a call or network search, the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge can track, and the BMS cuts power to protect the cell before the display ever reaches 0%. It's more common on a new cell before the fuel gauge IC has recalibrated. Run one full discharge to auto-shutoff and a complete recharge — if the shutdowns stop, the coulomb counter was working off the old cell's curve.
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
Probably not. Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V, the BMS locks out to prevent damage to the cell. Plug the C131 into the charger and leave it connected for at least 20–30 minutes without attempting to power on. Most charger ICs on this platform will trickle-charge the cell back above the BMS unlock threshold — once voltage recovers past 3.0V, the phone should boot normally.
The battery percentage jumps around — 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% — without the phone doing anything. How do I fix it?
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell and its readings are unstable until it completes a full reference cycle. Erratic percentage jumps are the coulomb counter interpolating between data points it doesn't have yet. Discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable early. After that single complete cycle, the IC has the discharge curve it needs and the percentage readout stabilises.
