Fits Flip Mino, F360, F360B, and MinoHD 2nd generation camcorders; replaces OEM battery CS-PM2120SL.
3.7V, 1000mAh lithium-ion cell delivers rated capacity for full recording and playback cycles on this compact camcorder.
Connector slides straight into the Mino battery slot with no adapter required; locking tab secures during operation.
We bench-tested this cell in a Mino body; BMS accepted the new pack on first charge cycle without fault codes.
On first use, charge fully inside the camera body before extended recording sessions — the Flip BMS maps battery percentage after one complete charge-discharge cycle from within the device.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Flip Mino / MinoHD 2rd / F360 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion battery fits the Flip Mino, Mino F360, F360B, and MinoHD 2rd compact camcorders. It slots into the same battery bay as the original cell and connects via the same three-contact terminal. Dimensions are 52.58 x 34.10 x 5.60mm — a direct physical match to the OEM cell.

  • Mino and MinoHD platform fit: The Mino and MinoHD 2rd share the same battery bay geometry, voltage rail, and contact layout. One cell covers both body types without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Mino body. The onboard BMS accepted the cell without error, and the camcorder's power indicator tracked charge depletion normally across the full cycle.
  • First-use charge cycle on the Mino body: Charge this cell through the Mino's USB port before your first recording session. The Mino's battery indicator calibrates against the cell's discharge curve during that initial cycle — skipping it can cause the indicator to misread remaining charge throughout the cell's life.

Why the Mino battery indicator jumps or reads full when it isn't

The Flip Mino uses a voltage-threshold system to estimate remaining charge — it maps specific voltage points to display segments rather than tracking coulombs. A new Li-ion cell has a slightly different discharge curve shape than an aged original, so the thresholds can misalign. This shows up as the indicator holding on "full" longer than expected, then stepping down in larger jumps. One full charge-and-discharge cycle through the camera body usually re-anchors the thresholds to the new cell's curve.

Mino body shows no power after fitting replacement cell

A deeply discharged Li-ion cell can sit below 3.0V, which puts it outside the range the Mino's protection circuit will pass to the power button. The body reads this as no battery present. Connect the Mino to USB power for 10–15 minutes before pressing the power button — this allows the cell's protection circuit to pre-charge the cell to a voltage the camera will recognise. If the cell reaches 3.4V and the body still shows nothing, check the three contact pins for debris or bent contacts before anything else.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Flip Mino shows the battery icon blinking immediately after fitting the new cell — is the cell faulty?

Not necessarily. A cell shipped in a low state of charge can trigger the low-battery blink on the Mino before the camera even attempts to boot. Connect it to USB for 15 minutes first, then power on. If the indicator stabilises above the first threshold bar, the cell is fine and was just below the camera's minimum boot voltage — approximately 3.3V.

The battery percentage on my Mino drops from full to half in a short burst of recording, then barely moves for a long stretch — what's happening?

This is a voltage-threshold mapping issue, not a capacity fault. The Mino's indicator is calibrated to an aged original cell's discharge curve. A fresh Li-ion cell holds voltage higher for longer in the upper range, then steps down more steeply at the knee — which makes the display appear to lurch early. Run one full charge and discharge cycle through the camera body and the display steps will redistribute more evenly across the actual capacity.

My Flip Mino feels noticeably warm on the back during a long recording session with the new battery — is that normal?

Yes. The Mino body combines video encoding, sensor readout, and USB charging circuitry in a very small enclosure with no active cooling. Combined draw from these systems generates heat that the aluminium shell conducts outward. The cell itself operates safely within its thermal range during normal recording. If the body becomes too hot to hold comfortably, stop recording and let it cool for five minutes before continuing.
