Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pure Flip Video / F360 / M2120 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (02404-0013-00)
This 3.7V, 1000mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Pure Flip Video, F360, F360B, and M2120 compact camcorders. It matches the OEM voltage rail and physical footprint, so it seats in the battery bay without modification. Capacity is 1000mAh — identical to the original specification.
- Flip Video / F360 / M2120 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector orientation, and 3.7V single-cell architecture. One cell covers the full listed range — no variant selection needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Flip Video's onboard BMS, which monitors cell voltage and triggers cutoff at approximately 2.75V. The BMS accepted the cell without reset intervention and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage threshold.
- First-charge protocol for Flip camcorders: Charge the new cell fully via the camera's USB charge circuit before shooting. The Flip Video's fuel gauge maps battery-remaining display against a completed charge cycle — skipping this step can cause the indicator to read inaccurately from the first session.
Why the Flip Video shows a dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell
The Flip Video uses a voltage-threshold method to estimate remaining charge — it does not count coulombs. A new cell's resting voltage after shipping typically sits between 3.6V and 3.75V, which the camera can misread as near-empty if it has no reference baseline for that cell. Running one full charge-to-discharge cycle through the camera body gives the BMS the voltage curve it needs to display charge level accurately. After that calibration cycle, the indicator tracks normally.
Battery percentage jumping erratically during playback or recording
Erratic percentage readings on the Flip Video are almost always a discharge-curve mismatch, not a faulty cell. The camera's indicator firmware expects the OEM cell's specific mid-discharge voltage plateau — a replacement cell with a slightly different curve causes the displayed percentage to skip or drop suddenly. This is most visible during video playback, where sustained processor and LCD draw pulls the cell voltage down in a non-linear pattern the stock firmware wasn't calibrated for. Performing a full charge cycle through the USB port, then discharging fully once, resets the reference and stabilises the display.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Flip Video shows "no battery" or won't power on at all with the new cell installed — is the battery dead?
Almost certainly not. The Flip Video BMS sometimes fails to recognise a new cell if the resting voltage has dropped slightly during storage transit. Connect it via USB to charge for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on — the BMS needs a minimum voltage threshold, around 3.0V, before it will allow the camera to boot. If the camera powers on during charging but not on battery alone, repeat a full charge cycle and the issue typically clears.
The battery percentage drops faster when recording video than during photo playback — is the cell undersized?
No — this is normal draw behaviour for the Flip Video's hardware. Sustained video recording pulls on the image sensor, video processor, and storage write cycle simultaneously, which creates a higher and more consistent current draw than still playback. This accelerated voltage sag is what the camera's indicator reads as a faster percentage drop. The cell is rated at 1000mAh, matching OEM spec — the draw profile during recording is the variable, not the cell capacity.
The Flip Video gets noticeably warm during extended recording sessions with the replacement cell — should I be concerned?
Warmth during sustained video recording is expected and not caused by the replacement cell. The camera body absorbs heat from the processor and sensor running continuously, and the 3.7V cell contributes minimal additional heat under normal load. You should only be concerned if the camera shuts itself down mid-recording — that indicates the thermal protection circuit has tripped. If shutdowns occur, allow the body to cool for five minutes and check that the battery contacts are clean and fully seated before restarting.
