Fits Fomt R620C cordless stick vacuum and replaces OEM battery part N/A, model R620C.
14.8V, 2600mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full motor power without sag under carpet load.
Connector orientation and locking tab match R620C dock contacts — seats flat without forcing.
We bench-tested the BMS on full discharge into the R620C motor; no early cutoff observed.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades capacity fast, so charge to full and remove from dock until next use.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fomt R620C — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.8V, 2600mAh (38.48Wh) Li-ion battery for the Fomt R620C cordless stick vacuum. It replaces the original pack when capacity has dropped or the battery no longer holds a charge. Fits the R620C model specifically.

  • R620C platform fit: The R620C runs a 14.8V four-cell Li-ion pack to drive the motor and brush roll. This replacement matches that voltage rail and cell configuration, so the BMS communicates correctly with the vacuum's charge and discharge circuitry.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and full discharge on the R620C platform. The BMS held its overcurrent threshold correctly under simulated restricted-filter load, and the charge cutoff triggered cleanly at capacity.
  • Dock charging habit on the R620C: Do not leave the R620C on the charging dock continuously. Cordless vacuums held on trickle charge develop capacity fade significantly faster than those charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the R620C

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS allows under load — not because the battery is empty. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, spiking current draw and causing the BMS to throttle output voltage before the indicator reflects a low state. The vacuum feels like it's losing charge early, but the real trigger is restricted airflow. Clean or replace the filter first, then recheck suction performance at full charge.

Motor cuts out mid-clean, then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip — not a faulty battery. When sustained suction restriction drives current above the protection threshold, the BMS disconnects the output to protect the cells. After a brief thermal or timer reset, it reconnects and the motor starts again. The fix is clearing the blockage or cleaning the filter before the next run. If cutouts continue on an unblocked machine, check that cell voltage at rest is above 14.0V — below that, the pack may need replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My R620C battery charges fully but suction fades quickly — is the new battery already failing?

Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which drains the pack faster and can trigger BMS throttling before the indicator shows low. Clean or replace the filter and run a full charge cycle before drawing conclusions about the battery. If suction holds after the filter is cleared, the pack is fine.

The R620C motor cuts out after a minute of use, then starts again if I wait — what's happening?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip, not a battery fault. Sustained restricted airflow — from a blocked filter or nozzle — pushes motor current above the BMS protection threshold, which disconnects output until the circuit resets. Clear any blockage, clean the filter, and run again. If the cutout still happens on an unobstructed machine, check resting cell voltage — it should read above 14.0V on a full charge.

I've had this replacement battery for a few months and it already seems weaker — what causes early capacity fade on the R620C?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause. Leaving the R620C on the dock after it reaches full charge subjects the cells to sustained trickle current, which degrades capacity faster than normal charge cycles. Remove the vacuum from the dock once the charge indicator shows full. Charge only when the battery is depleted, and capacity should hold significantly longer across the battery's life.
