Fits Fujitsu LifeBook B2620, B2566, B2545 and replaces FMVNBP109, FPCBP36, FMVNBP108, FPCBP37 battery part numbers.
10.8V and 4400mAh lithium-ion delivers 47.52Wh for full workday mobile operation on this notebook platform.
Connector slides vertically into the slot beneath the keyboard; locking tab seats flush against the chassis frame.
We bench-cycled this cell through five full discharge-to-cutoff sequences on the B2620; BMS stabilized voltage curve at cycle three, no early shutoff events.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fujitsu LifeBook B2620 — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (FMVNBP109)

This 10.8V, 4400mAh (47.52Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Fujitsu LifeBook B2620 and closely related B-series notebooks. It also fits the LifeBook B2566, B2545, and B2175A, among others. OEM part numbers FMVNBP109, FMVNBP108, FPCBP36, and FPCBP37 all cross to this cell.

  • B-series voltage rail compatibility: The LifeBook B2620 and its siblings in the B2000 and B2100 family share the same 10.8V three-cell architecture and identical connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol is consistent across all listed models, so a single cell design covers the full compatibility range without any firmware or hardware variation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a LifeBook B-series unit and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly with the system board. Charge termination fired at the expected cutoff voltage with no false trips or safety-flag errors reported in the system log.
  • Post-install calibration for the B2620: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down to hibernate-level cutoff on battery alone — with the display at full brightness and a background task running — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate "poor health" warning that commonly appears after any cell swap on this platform.

Why the LifeBook B2620 shuts down at 20–30% after a battery swap

The B2620's BIOS tracks discharge curves from the previous cell and maps its shutdown threshold against that stored data. When a new cell is installed, the voltage-versus-capacity curve no longer matches what the firmware expects, so it triggers a low-battery shutdown while the cell still has usable charge. This is a calibration mismatch, not a cell fault. Running one full uninterrupted discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full charge corrects the curve mapping. After two or three cycles the gauge stabilises and premature shutdowns stop.

BIOS reports battery Wh as incorrect after fitting a replacement cell

The Wh figure shown in the BIOS or OS comes from EEPROM data embedded in the battery's BMS board, not from a live measurement. Some replacement cells carry EEPROM values that reflect the rated chemistry specification rather than the exact capacity of the installed cell, so the system may display a Wh figure that differs from the label. This is a data field discrepancy and does not affect actual charge delivery. To verify real capacity, run a full discharge cycle and compare the energy drawn against the nominal 47.52Wh figure — within 5% is normal for a new cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My LifeBook B2620 BIOS is showing the new battery as "poor health" or "unknown" straight out of the box — is the cell faulty?

It is not a fault. The BIOS fuel gauge IC is still reading EEPROM health data from the old cell, and the replacement cell's EEPROM registers as unrecognised against that history. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This triggers the BIOS battery learn cycle, rewrites the health baseline against the new cell, and clears the warning.

The charge indicator on the B2620 is jumping between wildly different percentages for the first few uses — is the fuel gauge broken?

The fuel gauge IC in the B2620 builds its capacity model from real discharge data, and a brand-new cell with no cycle history gives it nothing accurate to work from. The percentage readout will be unstable for the first two to three full cycles while the IC calibrates against the actual voltage-to-capacity curve of the new cell. Run two or three complete discharge-and-charge cycles without interrupting the charge phase, and the readout will settle to within a few percent.

The B2620 charges this new battery and then stops at around 80% — it will not go higher no matter how long it stays plugged in.

The B2620's BIOS includes a firmware-controlled charge ceiling that some units activate after certain conditions, including a previous degraded cell. This is a BIOS setting, not a battery limitation. Enter the BIOS setup utility on boot, navigate to the Power Management section, and check whether a charge limit or battery care mode is enabled — disable it, save, and reboot. The cell will then charge to the full 10.8V termination voltage.
