Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fukuda Denshi FX-8322 ECG — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTE-002)
This 14.8V 5200mAh Li-ion battery fits the Fukuda Denshi FX-8322 and FX-8322R electrocardiograph. The FX-8322 is a portable cardiac diagnostic device used in clinical and mobile settings to record and analyze cardiac electrical activity. Voltage and capacity match the OEM specification — OEM part numbers BTE-002 and 510114040.
- FX-8322 and FX-8322R compatibility: Both models share the same 14.8V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell works across both variants without modification or adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the FX-8322 platform. The BMS completed its handshake, charge IC accepted the cell, and the device progressed through its power-on sequence without fault flags.
- Post-swap startup protocol: After fitting this battery, let the device run its full power-on self-test without interrupting it. The FX-8322 BMS runs a verification pass at boot — cutting power mid-sequence stores a false battery fault that will not clear until the next clean reboot.
Device not completing boot sequence on new battery
The FX-8322 runs a BMS verification handshake during boot that checks cell voltage against internal thresholds calibrated for the OEM chemistry. A new cell may sit slightly below those thresholds if it has discharged during transit or storage. The device reads this as a fault and halts the boot sequence before reaching the main ECG interface. Charge the battery fully using the device's own charging circuit, then power on again — a confirmed full charge resolves the handshake failure in most cases.
Charge indicator stalling below 100% on first charge
On the first charge cycle, the FX-8322 charge IC applies a conservative current limit to an unrecognised cell, which causes the charge indicator to stall between 85–95% and appear not to progress. This is the charge controller's normal response to a new cell — it is not a fault. Allow the charge cycle to complete fully without interrupting it. After one full charge-discharge cycle, the charge IC recalibrates and the indicator will reach 100% on subsequent charges.

Frequently Asked Questions
The FX-8322 is alarming low battery immediately after I charged the new pack overnight — is the battery faulty?
Not necessarily. The FX-8322 BMS applies OEM-calibrated thresholds that a new cell may not pass on the first cycle, triggering a low-battery alarm even on a full charge. This clears after the device completes one full charge-discharge cycle, which lets the BMS learn the new cell's actual voltage curve. Run the device through one complete cycle before treating the alarm as a genuine fault. After that cycle, the alarm should not return under normal load.
The FX-8322 powers on but shuts off unexpectedly during a recording — what causes this?
In the first 10 cycles, a new Li-ion cell delivers slightly less current under the sustained load profile of an active ECG recording than it will once broken in. The FX-8322 BMS interprets this voltage sag as a low-cell condition and triggers a protective shutdown to preserve data integrity. This is not a defective cell — it is the BMS protecting the device during the cell's conditioning phase. Complete five to ten full charge-discharge cycles before relying on the battery for uninterrupted clinical recordings.
The FX-8322 was in storage and now will not power on at all after fitting this battery — how do I recover it?
A battery that sat in storage can self-discharge below the FX-8322 BMS recovery threshold, leaving the device unable to initialise the power rail. Connect the device to mains power via the AC adapter and leave it for at least two hours before attempting to power on — the charge IC will trickle-charge the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold of approximately 12V. Once the charge indicator shows any activity on the display, the cell has cleared the threshold and the device will power on normally.
