Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Genius Invictus X3 / X5 Series — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (6INR19/66)
This 21.6V, 2000mAh (43.2Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the OEM 6INR19/66 pack in the Genius Invictus X3, Invictus X5, and Invictus X5 Facelift cordless handheld vacuums. It slots into the same battery bay and connects to the same BMS interface as the original. Capacity matches the product data — 2000mAh, no inflation.
- Invictus X3 and X5 compatibility: All three models in this range share the same 21.6V voltage rail, identical battery bay dimensions, and the same BMS communication protocol. One pack covers the full Invictus lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the Invictus X3 motor under both floor and carpet suction loads. The BMS held the voltage rail stable during high-draw carpet passes and tripped correctly when the airpath was deliberately restricted — no latent overcurrent faults detected.
- Dock charging habit for Invictus vacuums: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock indefinitely between uses. The Invictus dock delivers a maintenance charge that causes measurable capacity fade over months. Charge fully, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next session.
Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
On the Invictus X3 and X5, suction drops noticeably before the LED battery indicator signals low charge. This happens because the motor draws peak current under restricted airflow — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling voltage down faster than the indicator updates. The BMS reads this as normal load and does not trigger a low-battery alert. Clean or replace the filter first; if suction recovers immediately, the battery was not the cause.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the Invictus motor sustains a restricted suction path — hair wrap around the brush roll or a clogged filter — current draw spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts output to protect the cells. The few-second pause is the BMS resetting. Clear the blockage, then restart the vacuum. If trips continue on a clear airpath, check that the pack voltage reads at least 20V under no-load before suspecting a cell fault.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Genius Invictus X5 suction feels weak right after I put in a fresh charge — is the new battery faulty?
Not necessarily. On the Invictus X5, weak suction with a full charge almost always points to a restricted airpath rather than the battery. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which causes voltage sag before the cells are actually depleted. Remove and clean the filter, then retest. If suction returns to normal, the battery is fine.
The Invictus X3 charges fine but the runtime has dropped significantly after a few months — what causes that?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause. The Invictus dock does not cut power completely once the pack is full — it keeps delivering a low-level maintenance charge that degrades cell capacity over time. Charge the battery to full, remove the vacuum from the dock, and only put it back when it needs charging again. Cells kept off the dock between sessions retain capacity noticeably longer.
I fitted the 6INR19/66 replacement and the Invictus won't charge at all — the charger light just blinks and nothing happens?
A blinking charger light on the Invictus typically means the BMS in the new pack has not completed its handshake with the charger, usually because the cells shipped at a very low state of charge and the BMS has entered a protection lockout. Connect the pack to the charger and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes — the BMS on this pack is configured to allow a slow wake-charge below its normal acceptance threshold. Once cell voltage climbs above approximately 18V, the charger should switch to its normal charge cycle and the light will stabilise.
