Fits Getac PS535E, PS535, PS535F barcode scanners; replaces OEM part 441816800010.
3.7V, 2400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full scan and wireless radio draw across shift cycles.
Connector slides into scanner battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush.
We bench-tested this cell in a PS535E cradle — BMS accepted handshake on first cycle without fault light.
After installing, place the scanner in its cradle for a full charge cycle before field use — the scan trigger inrush current peaks when the cell is near minimum, and pre-charging prevents false BMS trips on the first shift.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Getac PS535E Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (441816800010)

This is a 3.7V, 2400mAh Li-ion battery for the Getac PS535E handheld barcode scanner and related models including the PS535, PS535F, and FC-25A. It replaces OEM part number 441816800010 and fits the same battery bay without modification. Voltage and capacity match factory spec directly from Getac's product line.

  • PS535 platform compatibility: The PS535, PS535E, PS535F, and FC-25A all share the same 3.7V cell format and BMS handshake protocol. One battery fits the full platform because Getac kept the same connector pinout and communication bus across these variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a PS535E unit. The BMS accepted the pack without fault codes, charge termination triggered correctly at full capacity, and the scan trigger drew current normally throughout the test.
  • First-shift cradle protocol: After installing this pack, place the scanner in its cradle for a complete charge cycle before starting pick-and-pack operations. Scan trigger inrush is highest when the cell is near minimum charge — starting a shift on a partially charged new cell can trip the BMS on the first heavy scan burst.

Cradle showing a charging error on a new pack

Charging docks on the PS535 platform read battery state through pogo pin contacts on the base of the scanner. If those contacts have oxidation or debris from warehouse use, the dock may report a fault rather than begin charging. Wipe the contacts on both the battery and the dock with a dry cloth, reseat the scanner firmly, and check that the charge LED changes state within 30 seconds. If the error clears, the cell was never the problem — contact resistance at the dock was.

Scanner losing wireless connection during rapid scan bursts

The PS535E runs its wireless radio and scan imager simultaneously during active picking. Under rapid scan conditions, the combined current draw from both the radio transmit cycle and the imager trigger can cause a momentary voltage sag on a low or degraded cell. The BMS interprets this sag as an under-voltage event and briefly cuts output, which drops the wireless session. Charge the battery to full before each shift and confirm the cell rests above 3.6V under no-load before docking the scanner into a live RF environment.

Frequently Asked Questions

My PS535E won't read barcodes after I swapped in a new battery — laser powers on but scans fail

The imager on the PS535E needs stable voltage to complete a full scan decode cycle. If the new cell shipped partially discharged, imager power can drop below the threshold needed to process the barcode signal even though the laser visibly fires. Put the scanner in the cradle and charge the pack fully before your next scan attempt — confirmed reads return once the cell is above 3.7V under load.

The scanner runs warm after a few hours of continuous scanning — is something wrong with the pack?

Heat in the PS535E housing during extended shifts is normal. The enclosed plastic shell traps warmth generated by the combined draw of the wireless radio, imager, and processor — none of which are large individually, but they run simultaneously. The cell itself adds minor heat during sustained discharge. If the scanner becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, check scan burst frequency and wireless polling interval in the device settings — reducing either lowers sustained current draw and housing temperature.

The new battery doesn't last as long as the original did when it was fresh — what's causing that?

A new cell at 2400mAh will match original factory capacity, but shift endurance depends on scan rate, wireless signal strength, and backlight intensity — not capacity alone. A weak RF signal forces the radio to retransmit repeatedly, which significantly increases current draw beyond what the barcode scanning itself consumes. Check the wireless signal indicator on the PS535E during your shift — if it's fluctuating, move closer to the access point or audit antenna placement in the warehouse to recover endurance without changing the battery.
