Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Gigabyte P15F — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is an 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion battery for the Gigabyte P15F laptop. It fits the P15F notebook and restores unplugged operation when the original cell no longer holds adequate charge. Install it when your existing battery drains faster than expected or fails to hold a charge across a full work session.
- P15F platform fit: The P15F uses a three-cell 11.1V rail with a specific connector orientation and BMS handshake. This replacement matches that voltage configuration and connector, so the system recognises the pack on first boot without firmware conflicts.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a P15F-class platform. The BMS negotiated correctly, charge termination triggered at rated capacity, and protection circuits responded to over-discharge cutoff as expected.
- First-cycle calibration after install: After fitting, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell's actual capacity, clearing the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
Gigabyte P15F shutting down at 20–30% charge shown
This happens when the cell hits a voltage cliff under combined CPU and display load. The fuel gauge IC reads a state-of-charge percentage based on voltage, but under high draw the cell voltage drops sharply before the gauge updates. The laptop's low-voltage protection trips before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run the full discharge-to-hibernate calibration cycle — this resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's actual voltage curve and brings the shutdown threshold back in line with the displayed percentage.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after replacement
The BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers carried over from the old cell's cycle count and wear history. Swapping the physical cell does not reset those registers automatically. The system flags the new pack as degraded because the stored data does not match the fresh cell's actual charge behaviour. Complete one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — the BIOS learn cycle will overwrite the stale EEPROM values and the health warning will clear.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Gigabyte P15F fuel gauge is jumping around — showing 60%, then 45%, then back up — after fitting the new battery. Is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC calibrates its voltage-to-capacity curve against the old cell's data, and a new cell has a different curve. The gauge reads erratically until it maps a few full cycles against the new chemistry. Run two to three full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted charge cycles — the readings will stabilise by the third cycle.
Windows is showing the new battery's capacity as lower than 48.84Wh in the system report. Why doesn't the Wh figure match?
The Wh figure Windows reads comes from EEPROM data written at the factory, which stores the rated design capacity of the original cell. The replacement cell's EEPROM value may differ slightly from the previous pack's rated figure, so the OS displays the stored number rather than the actual delivered capacity. This is a reporting difference, not a capacity shortfall — confirm the actual capacity by running a full discharge cycle and checking the mWh consumed figure in a battery report generated with `powercfg /batteryreport`.
The P15F stops charging at 80% and will not go higher, even after hours on the charger. Is the replacement cell faulty?
The 80% ceiling is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a fault with the cell itself. Gigabyte laptops include a battery care mode in BIOS or the SmartManager utility that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell wear. Check BIOS under the battery or power settings menu and disable the charge limit, or toggle the setting in Gigabyte SmartManager if it is installed — charging will then proceed to 100%.
