Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Thunderobot G150S-47104G500G9502G Series — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is an 11.1V 4400mAh (48.84Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Thunderobot G150S-47104G500G9502G and related G150 gaming laptop models. It fits the G150MG-478G1T, G150P-47108G1TG8808G, G150TH, and over a dozen additional variants sharing the same battery bay and connector. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge or fails to charge at all.
- G150 series compatibility: These models share a common battery bay geometry, 11.1V nominal rail, and the same BMS handshake protocol — which is why one cell covers the full G150 line without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on G150-series hardware. The BMS negotiated correctly, charge termination triggered at the expected cutoff, and the protection circuit responded to over-discharge conditions without tripping falsely under gaming load.
- Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting this cell, run the laptop on battery power until it hibernates at low charge, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell's actual capacity and clears the false "poor health" warning that almost always appears after a cell swap.
Why the G150S shuts down at 20–30% after a battery swap
The G150S uses a fuel gauge IC that stores learned voltage-to-capacity curves from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, those curves no longer match the actual chemistry. The BIOS reads voltage and incorrectly maps it to 20–30% remaining, then hits its shutdown threshold while the cell still has charge left. Running two or three full discharge-to-hibernate then full-charge cycles recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's actual voltage profile.
BIOS reporting battery Wh rating as wrong after replacement
The system reads Wh data from the battery's EEPROM, which stores the manufacturer's rated figure. If the EEPROM value differs from what the BIOS expects, Windows or the firmware reports a mismatched Wh figure in system info. This is an EEPROM rated-versus-actual difference — not a fault with the cell itself. The battery charges and operates normally. Verify by checking actual charge voltage at the connector; it should read 12.6V at full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Thunderobot G150S shows 0% or "unknown" battery in Windows right after fitting the new cell — is it dead?
The old cell's EEPROM data is still cached by the BIOS, so the fuel gauge IC has nothing valid to read from the new cell yet. This clears after the BIOS completes a battery learn cycle. Discharge the laptop fully to hibernate, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — one complete cycle is usually enough to get the OS reporting a real percentage.
The G150S fuel gauge is jumping around wildly — showing 60%, then 80%, then 45% within minutes of each other.
The fuel gauge IC calibrates its capacity model against discharge curves it has recorded over time. A brand-new cell has no recorded history, so the IC is interpolating against stale data from the old battery. Run two or three full discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles without interruption. By the third cycle the gauge should track within a few percent of actual charge state.
New battery installed but the G150S won't charge above 80% — charger is connected and the LED shows charging.
This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a fault with the cell. Thunderobot's firmware on some G150 builds ships with an 80% charge cap enabled to reduce heat during extended desk use. Check the Thunderobot control software or BIOS power settings for a "battery conservation" or "charge limit" toggle and disable it — after that, charging should continue normally to 12.6V at the connector.
