Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Schenker B713-1OB / XMG M504 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 11.1V Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Schenker B713-1OB, B713, M505, and XMG M504 laptops. Capacity is 4400mAh (48.84Wh). It restores portable operation to notebooks where the original cell no longer holds a usable charge.
- B713 and XMG M504 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions (269.00 x 50.60 x 20.00mm), connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — which is why one cell covers the full group. The charge controller handshake is identical across the B713 and M504 series.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a B713 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, the charge circuit reached full voltage, and the protection IC responded correctly to load draw during the discharge leg.
- Post-install calibration on the B713: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This triggers the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after a cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The Schenker B713 BIOS reads health data from the EEPROM stored on the old cell during every boot. When a new cell arrives, that EEPROM data is absent or mismatched, so the firmware flags it as degraded — even though the cell is new. This is not a fault with the replacement. Running one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge overwrites the learn cycle data and resolves the warning.
Laptop shuts down hard at 20–30% charge shown on the B713
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's discharge curve. The gauge was mapped to the old cell's voltage profile, so it misjudges the voltage cliff on the new chemistry. Under combined CPU and display load, the system hits the low-voltage cutoff before the gauge catches up. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and full-recharge cycles — by the second cycle, the fuel gauge recalibrates and the OS percentage aligns with actual cell voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Schenker B713 shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" — what's happening?
The BIOS failed to recognise the new cell's EEPROM data and locked the charge circuit as a safety response. Shut down completely — not restart — unplug AC, hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain residual rail voltage, then reconnect AC and power on. This forces a fresh BMS handshake and the charge circuit should activate. If the gauge still reads 0%, initiate a full BIOS battery learn cycle by discharging to hibernate cutoff before charging again.
The OS fuel gauge on my XMG M504 is jumping wildly — showing 60%, then 90%, then 45% within minutes — is the cell faulty?
The fuel gauge IC is still mapped to the old cell's discharge curve and has no accurate reference data for the new chemistry. It is not a cell fault. The gauge needs two to three full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted full-charge cycles to build a calibrated profile against the new cell. After the third cycle, readings stabilise — target a resting voltage of approximately 12.6V at full charge as confirmation the gauge is tracking correctly.
Windows is showing this battery's capacity as 28Wh in the power report, but the cell is rated 48.84Wh — why is the Wh figure wrong?
Windows pulls the Wh figure from EEPROM data written by the original cell, not from the physical chemistry of the replacement. Until the BIOS learn cycle completes, the reported design capacity reflects the degraded old cell's last logged value. Run a full discharge to hibernate cutoff followed by a complete charge to 100% without interruption — after that cycle, the BIOS updates the EEPROM reference and the power report Wh figure corrects itself.
