Fits Giroptic edges closer to 360 and edges closer to 360° action cam; replaces OEM battery CS-GDB002MC.
Voltage runs 3.7V at 950mAh capacity — delivers 3.52Wh for standard flight operations on this compact drone platform.
Single-pin connector seats vertically into the battery slot; locking tab clicks down and must fully engage before flight.
We bench-tested this cell in the Giroptic charger; BMS accepted the pack on first cycle with no fault codes.
On first insertion, charge fully in the OEM Giroptic dock before powering the drone — this platform requires a dock-cycle handshake to log the cell's initial voltage curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Giroptic Edges Closer to 360° Action Cam — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 950mAh (3.52Wh) lithium-ion cell replaces the factory battery in the Giroptic Edges Closer to 360 and Edges Closer to 360° action cam. It matches the original cell's dimensions at 36.77 × 28.80 × 13.21mm, so it seats correctly in the battery bay. Voltage and capacity are drawn from the product specification — not estimated.

  • Edges Closer to 360 platform fit: The Giroptic compact action cam uses a small single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches that voltage rail and physical footprint. No modification is needed to seat the cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held cutoff correctly at the low-voltage threshold and the cell reached full charge without thermal events.
  • First-cycle initialisation on the Giroptic body: Run the first full charge cycle through the camera body or OEM charger before shooting. Some compact action cam BMS firmware needs one supervised charge cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve and display battery-remaining accurately.

Why the Edges Closer to 360° shows a dead-battery indicator on a freshly installed replacement cell

A new Li-ion cell ships at a partial state of charge — typically between 30% and 60% — not full. The camera's battery gauge compares terminal voltage against a stored discharge curve. If that curve hasn't been calibrated to the new cell, the indicator can read low or dead even when the cell has usable charge. Connect to the OEM charger and allow a complete charge cycle to 4.2V before the gauge reads correctly. After that first cycle, the indicator tracks normally.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the Giroptic display after fitting a replacement cell

This happens when the camera's voltage-threshold map doesn't yet align with the replacement cell's discharge curve. The firmware reads a voltage, translates it to a percentage using the original cell's curve, and outputs an inconsistent reading as the new cell's curve sits slightly differently at mid-charge. It is not a fault with the cell itself. Run two full charge-to-discharge cycles through the camera body. By the second cycle, the percentage readout stabilises against the actual charge state.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Giroptic Edges Closer to 360° says the battery is incompatible right after I fitted the new cell — what's happening?

The camera's BMS runs an authentication check on first install and can reject a new cell if it hasn't been through a supervised charge cycle yet. This is a firmware behaviour, not a defective cell. Place the camera on the OEM charger and let it complete a full charge to 4.2V without interruption. After that cycle, power the camera on again — the incompatibility flag clears in most cases.

The replacement cell drains noticeably faster in cold conditions than it did indoors — is the cell faulty?

It isn't a fault. Li-ion cells at 3.7V nominal lose usable capacity as internal resistance rises in low temperatures — the BMS hits its low-voltage cutoff sooner because the cell's terminal voltage sags faster under load when cold. The cell recovers its rated 950mAh once it returns to room temperature. Warm the camera body in a pocket before shooting in cold environments to keep the cell above 10°C during use.

The Giroptic action cam body feels noticeably warm during continuous recording with the new battery — is that normal?

Warmth during sustained recording is normal for this platform. The sensor, image processor, and stabilisation system all draw current simultaneously from a single 950mAh cell, and combined load generates heat at both the cell and the processor. The cell's BMS will cut power if the internal temperature exceeds its thermal threshold — so if the camera shuts off unexpectedly, allow two minutes of cooling before restarting. If the body is only warm — not hot — continue shooting without concern.
