Fits Google Pixel 4A and replaces OEM part number G025J-B.
3.85V lithium-polymer cell with 3050mAh capacity powers processor, display, and modem without voltage sag.
Connector seats flush against the battery contact pad with no locking tab — orientation marked on cell.
We bench tested this cell against a discharged OEM pack; BMS accepted charge current without fault codes on USB-PD input.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Google Pixel 4A — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (G025J-B)

This is a 3.85V, 3050mAh lithium-polymer cell built to replace the original G025J-B battery in the Google Pixel 4A. It fits the Pixel 4A only — not the 4A 5G or any other Pixel variant. Voltage, capacity, and connector position match the original specification.

  • Pixel 4A fitment: The Pixel 4A uses a single-cell Li-Polymer pack with a specific flex connector keyed to the mid-frame. The G025J-B connector orientation and BMS pin-out are retained here — the handshake with the Pixel 4A charge IC goes through as expected on first power-up.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a Pixel 4A unit and confirmed the BMS negotiated correctly with the charge IC. The cell accepted a full charge cycle without thermal events, and the device held lock screen and background sync load without voltage collapse.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under modem, screen, or GPS load, a new cell can sag below the Pixel 4A's minimum voltage threshold before the fuel gauge reads zero. The phone shuts down to protect the SoC even though the reported percentage is still high. One full discharge-charge cycle lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate the sag curve — after that, shutdowns at 20–30% typically stop. If they persist after two full cycles, confirm the resting cell voltage reads at least 3.85V with a multimeter.

Phone warm near the battery during first charge after swap

A new high-impedance cell resists current flow more than a well-cycled one, which causes the charge IC to work harder and generate more heat in the first one or two sessions. This is normal and typically resolves after the cell's internal impedance drops across two or three full cycles. If the device feels hot to the touch — not just warm — stop charging and let it cool before resuming. After the second full cycle, charge the phone and verify it reaches 4.35V at the battery terminals before the charge IC terminates.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Pixel 4A keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. This is a voltage cliff — under modem or screen load, the new cell sags below the Pixel 4A's shutdown threshold before the fuel gauge reads empty. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging off. That single cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and the shutdowns typically stop.

The Pixel 4A shows the battery percentage jumping around erratically after the replacement — sometimes it drops 10% in seconds.

Erratic percentage jumps mean the fuel gauge IC hasn't mapped the new cell's discharge curve yet. The coulomb counter is estimating state-of-charge against data from the old, degraded cell. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles with fast charging disabled. After the second cycle, the IC will have enough data points to track the new cell accurately and the percentage should stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my Pixel 4A right after I swapped the battery — standard charging still works.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the Pixel 4A's USB-PD negotiation can fall back to standard charging because the BMS on the new cell hasn't completed its first full handshake with the charge IC. This is a one-cycle reset behaviour, not a hardware fault. Charge the phone fully at standard speed, then discharge it to around 10%, and reconnect the charger — fast charging should re-engage at that point once the BMS has completed its initialisation sequence.
