Fits Vivo Nex 3, Nex 3S 5G, and Nex 3 5G models; replaces OEM part B-G9.
3.85V nominal, 4400mAh capacity delivers full charge cycles without capacity loss or early shutoff.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with retention tab locking perpendicular to the device frame.
We bench-tested the cell against Vivo's fuel gauge IC; BMS accepted charge current on first cycle without delay.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo Nex 3 Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-G9)

This is a 3.85V, 4400mAh lithium-polymer cell built to fit the Vivo Nex 3, Nex 3S 5G, Nex 3 5G, and V1950A. It replaces OEM part number B-G9 directly. If your original cell is swelling, dropping charge fast, or refusing to hold voltage under screen or modem load, this is the swap.

  • Nex 3 series compatibility: The Nex 3, Nex 3S 5G, and Nex 3 5G all share the same B-G9 footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits across all three variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Nex 3 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, CC, and CV phases cleanly to 4.40V cutoff.
  • First-cycle fast charge handling: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Why the Nex 3 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Nex 3 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds a discharge model from the original cell's charge history. When you install a new cell, the IC is still running the old model — so the percentage it shows does not match actual cell voltage. This causes readings that jump, stall, or report full charge well before the cell reaches 4.40V. One complete slow discharge down to shutdown, followed by a full uninterrupted charge, resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, percentage tracking aligns correctly.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's voltage cliff — the point where cell voltage drops sharply under load from the display or 5G modem. The phone still shows 20–30% but the cell voltage has already collapsed below the BMS cutoff threshold, typically around 3.2V under load. It is not a faulty cell — it is an uncalibrated gauge hitting a real voltage drop it did not predict. Run one full slow-charge cycle without fast charging enabled, then discharge the phone to automatic shutdown to force the IC to log the actual cliff point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vivo Nex 3 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out due to deep discharge below 2.5V per cell. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC runs a trickle recovery phase to bring cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once voltage crosses approximately 3.0V, the BMS releases the lockout and the phone will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed the new B-G9 cell — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after installation, the Nex 3's charge controller sometimes withholds the fast-charge handshake until it confirms the new cell's impedance profile is within expected range. This is normal BMS behaviour on a fresh cell, not a fault. Complete one full slow charge to 100% and one discharge to shutdown, then reconnect to a fast charger — the handshake negotiation succeeds once the cell has logged its first full cycle.

The battery percentage on my Nex 3 keeps jumping around erratically — it skips from 45% down to 12% and back up.

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating its internal model against the new cell's discharge curve, and the mismatch causes erratic coulomb counting. The jumps happen because the IC is interpolating against old cell data while real cell voltage moves differently. Discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself down, then charge it in one uninterrupted session to 100% with fast charging disabled. That single full cycle gives the IC enough data to anchor the new discharge curve and the jumping stops.
