Fits GSmart S1200, S1208, S1205 smartphones; replaces OEM part GPS-H03.
3.7V, 1010mAh lithium-ion cell delivers sustained voltage for calls, messaging, and apps without mid-cycle sag.
Connector seats flush into the original battery slot with no modification required to the phone housing.
We bench-tested this cell in the S1200 platform; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with clean voltage ramp during initial charge cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GSmart S1200 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GPS-H03)

This is a 3.7V, 1010mAh Li-ion battery for the GSmart S1200, S1205, and S1208 smartphones. It replaces OEM part GPS-H03 (also cross-referenced as 29S00-060F0-S90S). Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge or shuts the phone down unexpectedly.

  • S1200 / S1205 / S1208 fit: All three models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the entire S1200 platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and load discharge on the S1200 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without a protection trip, and the charge IC brought it to 4.2V without thermal events.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the S1200 after a cell swap

The S1200's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the original cell in its coulomb counter. When a new cell is installed, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell voltage under load — especially during modem transmit bursts or screen-on peaks. The phone reads 25% remaining but the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under that sudden current draw. One full discharge cycle from 100% to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge, resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve.

Phone will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and the BMS on this cell will enter lockout if voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell during extended shelf time. The phone shows nothing — no boot screen, no charging indicator. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a USB port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. Once the BMS detects sufficient voltage recovery, the charge IC re-engages and the phone will show the charging animation. If no response after 45 minutes, confirm the charger is delivering at least 5V.

Frequently Asked Questions

The GSmart S1200 percentage keeps jumping — it shows 40%, then suddenly reads 15% a minute later. Is the new battery faulty?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve, which differs from the original cell it was calibrated to. This erratic readout is normal for the first one to three cycles after a cell swap. Run the phone from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to full — the coulomb counter updates its reference points with each cycle. After two or three full cycles the percentage readout stabilises.

The S1200 gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges with the replacement cell. Should I be concerned?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the initial charge cycles than a well-cycled original cell. The charge IC pushes current into a cell with higher internal resistance until the cell conditions through its first few cycles. Surface warmth during charging is expected — what to watch for is heat that makes the back of the phone uncomfortable to hold, which indicates a charge IC fault rather than normal cell conditioning. If the phone stays warm but not hot and cools within a few minutes of unplugging, no action is needed.

Fast charging stopped working after fitting the replacement battery — the S1200 now only trickle charges. What happened?

On the first cycle after installation, the BMS on the new cell may not yet have completed the handshake with the phone's charge controller, causing the charge IC to fall back to a low-current safe mode. Drain the battery fully until the phone shuts itself down, then connect the original charger and leave it charging without interruption for a full cycle. This handshake completes during a full uninterrupted charge session — after that, fast charging resumes at the standard rate. Confirm you are using the original GSmart charger, as third-party adapters may not complete the protocol negotiation.
