Fits Guldmann GH3 and GH3+ ceiling lifts; replaces OEM part numbers 110765, 550182, and B11908.
24V 3000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers 72Wh to power the motorized hoist system through full patient transfer cycles.
Connector seats into the battery bay with a latching tab; orient the terminals toward the device contact plate before sliding fully home.
We ran a full charge cycle on the test unit; the BMS accepted the new cell without cutoff and held voltage stable under load.
After installation, let the device complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical equipment runs BMS verification at startup, and stopping this sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Guldmann GH3 / GH3+ Ceiling Lift — 24V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (110765)

This is a 24V, 3000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Guldmann GH3 and GH3+ ceiling lift systems. It matches OEM part numbers 110765, 550182, and B11908. The battery powers the motorized hoist that lifts and transfers patients in clinical and home care settings.

  • GH3 and GH3+ compatibility: Both models share the same 24V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell format covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on a GH3 hoist. The BMS completed its verification sequence, accepted the cell, and reported correct charge state across multiple cycles.
  • Post-installation self-test: After fitting this battery, let the GH3 complete its full power-on self-test without cycling power mid-sequence. Ni-MH cells have a slightly different impedance profile than a worn OEM battery, and the hoist BMS runs a brief verification at startup. Interrupting that sequence can trigger a persistent battery fault that clears only on a full reboot.

Why the GH3 alarms low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge

The GH3 BMS uses a learned impedance baseline to validate battery state. A new Ni-MH cell has higher internal resistance than a conditioned pack, so the BMS can interpret that as a low or degraded battery even when the cell is fully charged. This is not a fault with the replacement — it is the BMS applying its threshold against an unconditioned cell. Run one complete charge-discharge-recharge cycle and the alarm clears as the BMS updates its baseline. After that first cycle, normal operation resumes.

GH3 will not power on after the battery has been in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge in storage, and if the pack drops below approximately 18V, the GH3 BMS enters a protective state and refuses to boot. The fix is a slow pre-charge using the OEM charger — connect it and leave it for a full uninterrupted charge cycle before attempting to power on the hoist. Do not press the power button during this recovery charge, as that resets the charge IC and extends recovery time. Once the pack reaches at least 22V, the BMS will release its lockout and allow normal startup.

Frequently Asked Questions

The GH3 shows a low battery warning immediately after I installed this new battery and charged it fully — is the battery faulty?

It is not faulty. A fresh Ni-MH cell has higher internal resistance than a conditioned pack, and the GH3 BMS flags that impedance as a low-battery condition even at full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge-recharge cycle through the hoist's normal charger and the BMS will update its baseline. The alarm clears after that first conditioning cycle.

The GH3 shuts off unexpectedly mid-lift after the battery swap — what is causing this?

New Ni-MH cells handle motor-start load differently in the first several cycles. The GH3 draw profile during a lift creates a brief current spike that can push a new, unconditioned cell to the BMS cutoff threshold before the cell's capacity is fully accessible. Complete eight to ten full charge-discharge cycles under normal use and the cutoff events will stop. Do not use the hoist clinically until that break-in period is done — run the cycles in a controlled setting first.

The charge indicator on the GH3 charger never reaches 100% on the first charge of the new battery — is something wrong with the charge cycle?

Nothing is wrong. The GH3 charge IC applies a conservative current limit when it detects a new or cold cell, which extends the charge time and can stall the indicator below 100% on the first pass. Leave the battery on charge for a full uninterrupted cycle — do not disconnect and reconnect mid-charge, as that resets the charge IC back to its initial stage. Once the first full cycle completes, subsequent charges will reach 100% and the indicator will behave normally.
