It replaces cells that have degraded, lost capacity, or stopped holding charge after extended use. Physical dimensions are 203.00 x 50.85 x 39.60mm — verify fitment against your current cell before installing.

When you swap a degraded cell for a new one, the BIOS still holds EEPROM data from the old battery. It compares current cell readings against that stored profile and flags a health mismatch. This is a firmware calibration issue, not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate, then a full uninterrupted charge to 100% — this overwrites the stale EEPROM values and the health warning clears on the next boot.

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. The displayed percentage reads incorrectly high while the real cell voltage is already near cutoff. Under combined CPU and display load, the voltage drops sharply — the system shuts down before the gauge catches up. Run two to three full discharge-to-cutoff and full-charge cycles to allow the fuel gauge IC to map the new cell accurately; the shutdowns stop once calibration completes and the gauge tracks actual voltage.

My Hasee Q130X shows the battery as 0% or "unknown" in Windows right after I put in the new cell — what's happening?

The fuel gauge IC in the Q130 series reads EEPROM data from the previous cell on first boot and can't match it to the new cell's profile, so it reports 0% or unknown. This is a calibration state, not a hardware fault. Discharge the laptop fully to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging mid-cycle. After one or two complete cycles, Windows will display an accurate percentage.

The replacement battery shows a completely wrong Wh rating in system info — lower than what's on the label. Is the cell undersized?

The Wh figure shown in system info is pulled from the EEPROM data embedded in the battery's BMS, which reflects the rated chemistry spec rather than the measured capacity of the installed cells. A mismatch between the displayed Wh and the label value is normal when the BIOS hasn't completed a learn cycle yet. Run a full discharge to hibernate cutoff followed by a full charge to 100% — after the learn cycle completes, the reported Wh figure updates to match the actual cell rating of 48.84Wh.

The charge stops at around 80% and won't go higher — is the new battery defective?

Charge stopping at 80% on the Q130 series is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Hasee's firmware on some Q130 units includes a battery conservation mode that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during extended AC use. Check your power management settings or any Hasee utility software installed — disable conservation or battery care mode if it's active. Once disabled, plug in and charge again; the cell will charge to 100%.
