Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus F560UD / X560UD Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A31N1730)
This is a 10.8V, 2600mAh (28.08Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Asus F560UD and X560UD series laptops, including the F560UD-AX8203T, X560UD-EJ386, X560UD-BQ376, and X560UD-BQ373T among others. OEM part numbers A31N1730 and 0B110-00550100 both reference this same cell configuration. Install this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the laptop refuses to run off battery at all.
- F560UD / X560UD platform fit: These models share the same 10.8V three-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The EC firmware expects the same EEPROM signature across all variants in this family, so this cell communicates correctly with the charge controller without any adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the X560UD platform. The BMS accepted the cell, the charge controller stepped through its CC/CV phases without interruption, and cell voltage held stable at 10.8V nominal under sustained CPU and display load.
- Post-install calibration for the F560UD: After fitting this battery, run the laptop down until Windows triggers hibernate, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before unplugging. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The Asus EC reads health data from the EEPROM on the old cell and caches it. When you swap in a new cell, that cached data persists until a full learn cycle overwrites it. The BIOS health screen can show "Replace" or a low percentage even on a brand-new cell. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then a single uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle, the EC recalibrates against the new cell's actual charge curve and the health warning clears.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% remaining after battery swap
This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet mapped the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. Under full CPU plus display load, the cell hits a voltage cliff earlier than the gauge predicts, and the system shuts down to protect itself — even though the displayed percentage still looks reasonable. The fix is two to three full calibration cycles: discharge to hibernate, charge to 100%, repeat. After those cycles the fuel gauge IC tracks the actual voltage curve of the new cell and the premature shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Asus BIOS shows the new battery as "poor health" or 0% right after I installed it — is the cell dead?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The Asus EC carries EEPROM health data from the old battery and doesn't automatically reset when you swap cells. Run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single learn cycle rewrites the cached data and the health reading corrects itself.
Windows is showing a wildly wrong battery percentage — it jumps from 60% to 5% with no warning. What's happening?
The fuel gauge IC inside the laptop hasn't calibrated its voltage-to-capacity model against the new cell's chemistry yet. The old cell's charge curve data is still being used as reference, so the percentage readings are unreliable. Run two to three full cycles — discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge to 100% each time — and the gauge IC will converge on the correct curve for the new cell.
My X560UD shows the battery as 28Wh in system info, but another spec sheet I found lists a different Wh rating. Which is right?
The 28.08Wh figure in the system info reflects the actual cell chemistry installed — 10.8V nominal at 2600mAh. Wh figures you find on third-party spec sheets sometimes reference a higher design-rated capacity that the EEPROM was programmed with at the factory, not the physical cell. Trust the voltage and mAh values: 10.8V × 2.6Ah = 28.08Wh, and that is what this cell delivers.
