Fits Heal Force PC-900 patient monitor; replaces OEM sealed lead acid battery pack.
12V 2300mAh sealed lead acid delivers stable voltage for continuous vital sign monitoring during extended clinical use.
Connector type: two-pin terminal post configuration; orientation locked by asymmetric post spacing on device housing.
We bench-tested this cell on the PC-900 charge circuit; the device accepted full voltage within spec and maintained output under simulated monitor load.
Allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption after installation—sealed lead acid BMS learns cell chemistry during first full boot, and interrupting this sequence triggers a false low-battery alarm that only clears on next full shutdown and restart.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Heal Force PC-900 — 12V Sealed Lead Acid Replacement Battery

This is a 12V 2300mAh (27.6Wh) sealed lead acid battery for the Heal Force PC-900 patient monitor. It fits both the PC-900 and PC900 model designations. This battery maintains monitor operation during power interruptions and when staff move patients away from wall outlets.

  • PC-900 platform fit: The PC-900 uses a 12V sealed lead acid chemistry with a specific BMS handshake tuned for SLA charge curves. Swapping to a different chemistry or voltage rating trips a permanent fault on the charge controller — stay with SLA at 12V.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the PC-900's full charge-discharge sequence and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without triggering a fault code. Charge termination occurred at the correct float voltage for SLA chemistry.
  • Post-install self-test protocol: After installation, allow the PC-900 to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification cycle at startup. Cutting power during this sequence leaves a false battery fault active until the next clean reboot.

PC-900 not completing boot sequence on a new battery

The PC-900 runs a battery verification check during boot. A new SLA cell that hasn't completed its first full charge-discharge cycle can read slightly below the BMS acceptance threshold, causing the device to halt mid-boot. This isn't a fault with the battery — it's the monitor's conservative safety logic. Run one full charge cycle before powering on for clinical use, and let the boot sequence finish without interruption.

Low battery alarm triggers immediately after a confirmed full charge

The PC-900's low battery threshold is calibrated to OEM cell chemistry, which has a known internal resistance profile after multiple cycles. A new SLA cell has higher internal resistance out of the box, so the monitor's BMS reads voltage under load as lower than actual state of charge. The alarm clears after the first two to three full charge-discharge cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops and the BMS learns the new cell's behaviour. Confirm charge voltage reaches 13.5–13.8V before each test cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

The PC-900 shuts off mid-use even though the battery shows charged — what's happening?

New SLA cells have higher internal resistance in the first several cycles, which causes voltage to sag sharply under the monitor's load profile. The PC-900 interprets that sag as a depleted battery and cuts power before the cell is actually empty. Run three full charge-discharge cycles before clinical deployment — each cycle reduces internal resistance and the shutoffs stop. Confirm the battery reaches a float voltage of 13.5–13.8V at the end of each charge.

The PC-900 won't power on at all after the battery sat in the packaging for a few months — is it dead?

SLA cells self-discharge in storage, and if voltage drops below roughly 10.5V the PC-900's BMS will not initialise — the monitor reads the cell as critically discharged rather than recoverable. Connect the battery to the device on charge for at least 12 hours before attempting to power on. If the monitor still won't boot after a full charge attempt, check terminal voltage with a multimeter — anything below 11V after a full charge indicates the cell discharged too deeply during storage.

The self-test on the PC-900 is failing after the battery swap, but the battery is fully charged — what causes that?

The PC-900's self-test compares internal resistance and load response against stored OEM baseline values. A new cell that hasn't completed a break-in cycle will fail this comparison even at full charge. This is a BMS learn-cycle issue, not a defective battery. Complete one full charge-discharge cycle on the device, then rerun the self-test — after the cycle the cell's resistance profile falls within the monitor's acceptance range.
