Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

K-Touch Nibiru H1 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TBT9780A1)
This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-Polymer cell carrying OEM part number TBT9780A1. It fits the K-Touch Nibiru H1 and Nibiru H1C smartphones. It replaces the original battery when the existing cell has degraded, swells, or no longer holds a usable charge.
- Nibiru H1 and H1C compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The TBT9780A1 cell measures 76.20 × 58.50 × 4.00mm — matching the original form factor so the back cover seats correctly without pressure on the cell.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge and discharge cycle on Nibiru H1 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, the charge IC stepped through trickle, CC, and CV phases normally, and the fuel gauge IC registered a clean state-of-charge reading at end of cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Running one slow cycle at standard current lets it map the new cell's characteristics before fast charge pushes higher current into an uncalibrated register.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nibiru H1 after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. The new cell's internal impedance is slightly different from the degraded original, so the voltage curve under modem or display load drops faster than the fuel gauge IC expects. When voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 3.2V under load — the phone shuts off even though the coulomb counter still shows charge remaining. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging closes the gap between the IC's learned curve and the new cell's actual behaviour. After that cycle, the shutdowns stop.
OS percentage jumping erratically after replacement
The Android fuel gauge IC on the Nibiru H1 stores a learned discharge model for the old cell in non-volatile memory. When a new cell goes in, the IC is still reading against that old model, so the reported percentage can jump 10–15 points as the phone tries to reconcile measured voltage against a mismatched curve. This is not a faulty cell. Let the phone discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with the screen off. After that single full cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline to the new cell and percentage reporting stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Nibiru H1 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out below 2.5V from deep discharge in storage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC runs a trickle-charge recovery cycle that brings the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once voltage climbs past roughly 3.0V, the BMS unlocks and the phone will boot normally.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the TBT9780A1 — the phone just charges slowly now.
The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake requires the BMS to confirm cell readiness before the charge IC allows high-current delivery. On a brand-new cell, the BMS defaults to a conservative current limit until it has completed one full charge cycle. Let the phone charge fully at the slow rate, then discharge it to shutdown once. On the next charge cycle the BMS signals readiness and the fast-charge protocol re-engages automatically.
The phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after the swap — is something wrong?
This is normal on the first two to three cycles. A fresh high-impedance Li-Polymer cell converts more energy to heat as the charge IC works through the constant-current phase against higher internal resistance. Impedance drops as the cell is cycled, and warmth reduces accordingly. Charge in a ventilated spot and avoid laying the phone face-down on a surface during those initial cycles so heat can dissipate. If the back cover becomes hot to the touch — above roughly 45°C — stop charging and check that the battery connector is fully seated.
