Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Huawei Ascend G710 / A199 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HB505076RBC)
This is a 3.8V, 2100mAh Li-ion cell built to replace the original HB505076RBC battery in the Huawei Ascend G710 and A199. It also fits the G606, G610, and 24 additional Huawei models sharing the same battery bay and connector. Capacity figures come from the product data — 7.98Wh total energy.
- G710 / G606 / G610 platform fit: These models share the same 3.8V single-cell architecture, physical footprint, and flex connector pinout. One cell covers all of them without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on G710 hardware. The BMS accepted charge handshake without rejection, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold — no runaway events observed.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC inside the G710 is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Skipping this step causes the percentage counter to read incorrectly for weeks.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Ascend G710 after a cell swap
This happens because the phone's fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve of the degraded original cell. When the new cell hits a voltage zone that maps to 20–30% on the old curve, the modem or display draws a current spike the gauge wasn't expecting, and the phone cuts power to protect the rail. It is not a fault in the replacement cell. One full discharge from 100% to auto-shutdown, followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor its zero and full points against the new cell's actual curve.
Phone warm near the battery bay during the first few charges
A new high-impedance cell presents more internal resistance than a worn one during the first few cycles. The charge IC pushes current into that resistance, and some of it becomes heat. This is normal for the first two or three charge cycles and does not indicate a fault. If the phone feels hot to the touch — above what you'd call warm — check that the charger output does not exceed the spec on the battery label. After three cycles, internal resistance drops and the warmth settles.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Huawei G710 still show the wrong battery percentage after I fitted the new HB505076RBC cell?
The fuel gauge IC in the G710 stores the discharge profile of the cell it last learned — in this case, the degraded original. It maps voltage readings against that old curve, so the percentage counter drifts. Run one full discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge in one unbroken session to 100%. That single cycle forces the coulomb counter to reset its reference points against the new cell and the percentage readout stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after replacing the battery — what happened?
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on some G710 units withholds high-current fast charge until it confirms the new cell's BMS responds correctly to the charge handshake. This is a protection behaviour, not a fault. Plug in using the original Huawei charger and cable — third-party cables with high contact resistance can prevent the protocol from negotiating. If fast charge does not resume by the second cycle, check the cable resistance with a known-good Huawei cable.
My G710 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — is it dead?
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell during that time, the BMS locks out to prevent damage — the phone will not boot and the charge LED may not respond. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits allow a trickle pre-charge to recover from lockout once voltage is nudged above the threshold. If the charge LED shows any activity within that window, the cell is recovering; continue charging to at least 15% before booting.
